Great place great music. It’s an after spot so it get lit after the clubs let out. We ordered wings, macaroni & cabbage to go & when we got home to eat our food the food was good but very very salty we couldn’t even finish it. We paid $15+ for some high blood pressure food that we couldn’t even eat what a waist.

I decided to celebrate my birthday here and let me just say, never again. The atmosphere was DEAD, overpriced, skimpy drinks*(shots) and the staff wasn’t that friendly. This was my 1st time here, not impressed.

Came here for the NYE celebration advertised. It highlight free drinks, free food and more. I arrived approximately 11:10 and waited in an unmoving line out in the cold until after 12:30 for no reason. Once arrived, there was no free food or drinks. Of all the places in the city to celebrate, I chose this one and feel regretful I did as I brought in 2024 waiting to even get in the establishment. There wasn’t even a countdown for It inside (which we could hear). I didn’t try the food, but the drinks I ordered were strong and tasty, so that was a plus.
Lamb chops, cabbage, yams, and cornbread are awesome every time I get them! ? highly recommend if you like spicy, flavorful food.

I visited Star Bar yesterday evening and noticed signage labeled Spice, indicating a possible rebranding. Despite not typically leaving reviews, I felt compelled to share my positive experience. Arriving just before 9 pm, we were warmly welcomed by a smiling host. Seated at the bar, our attentive server made our evening enjoyable. We ordered drinks, hookah, and dinner – the hookah was fantastic, and adjustments were promptly handled. The food, including shrimp, wings, Mac and cheese, cornbread, and yams, was exceptionally flavorful. Planning to return for more menu options, the early evening featured great music catering to everyone. Leaving around 11 pm, we observed a line of eager guests waiting to enter. For those seeking a serene atmosphere, delicious food, drinks, and good vibes, arriving around the time I did or earlier is recommended. Overall, a delightful experience with a well-selected and enthusiastic staff. I’ll certainly return on my next visit to Raleigh.
