So the food was good as usual. Our server Mikaela was spot on. Attentive enough but not too much. Very personable and engaging

Once our group of 7 was seating, it took us almost 30 minutes to receive water at the table. We were a group of girls so we were chatting about before we realized how much time as gone by without being waited on. I ended up having to ask the host stand to send someone over to help us. Once we had someone arrive, they took our orders and drinks. Another 15 minutes went by before we got our drinks, 45 Minutes into being seated. I could tell our waiter was running around a good bit showing that the restaurant was likely understaffed. I have a Tree Nut allergy, so when I ordered, I asked for it to be added to my ticket for the kitchen. About 20 minutes after we ordered, the waiter came up to me to ask if I had added something special to my food. He forgot to write down my allergy but remembered I had a request. As soon as I said allergy he went running off to the kitchen. I think they had to remake my food as even more time went by before our meals arrived. Overall, I was disappointed in my experience as the food was okay and the service needed some support.

The steamed oysters 1 dozen were mediocre. The different sauces to them were good but the oysters were lacking something. My husband had shrimp and grits. Those were kind of bland. The crab bisque was good and rich. We had cream brûlée for dessert which was good. Service was o on.

Wide ranging menu. Beautiful bar. Salmon was delicious and Tuna Poke Bowl was beautiful and delicious! Michaela was very engaging and helpful with food issues and suggestions. Would come again!

Waiter was fabulous! Worst Manhattan I've ever had. Beer selection was absolute trash. Settled on a mediocre malbec. Steak was ordered med rare, came out quite rare, fine for me but my wife does not love it that way. Caesar salad was entirely unremarkable and flavorless. Fries were ok. Oysters were great which is why it's 2 instead of 1 star along with waiter. Insanely loud kitchen noise.

We went on a Sunday night and sat outside. Our server was good however overall accuracy, speed and food were below average. They got several of our orders wrong including bringing us the wrong cocktail and only when we were over half down with it informed us it was the wrong one with all totally different alcohols. My MIL has celiacs and they brought her food out with a bun after specificing the allergy and asking for no bread. It took over and hour and a half as the food took an extremely long time to get to the table and then the accuracy of our orders and things having to be sent back. Would maybe get takeout next time.

We've been here many times, and honestly, the experience really depends on who's working that day—both in the kitchen and on the floor. During our most recent visit with our daughter, we were greeted promptly and given water, but then waited 10 minutes for a beer and 15 minutes for an espresso martini that hadn't even been rung up until I asked about it. We came during the transition from brunch to lunch, which we understand can be tricky, but we ordered oysters and the oyster bar still wasn't ready by the time we received our check—an hour later. Our food wasn't great either—my husband's steak was overcooked, and it was clear our meals had been sitting under a warmer for a while since my salmon caesar salad was actually warm. Overall, a very disappointing visit, and unfortunately, we're not likely to return.

Came highly recommended. Food was tasty but my eggs were cold, potatoes were lukewarm. My friends vegetables were lukewarm. Enjoyed the cucumber salad. Atmosphere very nice. Good coffee. Probably won’t go back.

My friend and I wanted to have a couple of mimosas and Chaz was our server. Wow! He did amazing! All I can say is that he offered us amazing customer service from the beginning. He is the best served Stir could have.

Came here on November 16 for lunch. Axel made our experience great. He knew the menu like the back of his hand and gave insightful recommendations. Plus, he was funny. I would come back again and request him as our waiter.

We went to STIR for the first time tonight

We were warmly greeted when we entered and were seated right away

Axel, our waiter, arrived quickly and provided us an interesting and enjoyable overview of the menu and their ice making and cutting process for making speciality ice for their drinks.

We went with an assortment of appetizers for our meal. The bar bun sliders were a mouth watering delight with the perfectly seasoned meat. The Spicy Tuna Bites had a fairly aggressive seasoning that bought the bite to life. We would recommend both of these anytime.

The corn and bacon chowder included a nice assortment of herbs and every spoonful was a delight.

We loved Axel’s service.

However there was one strange occurrence that gave the place an odd vibe. I went to use the restroom but the stall was locked. I waited and heard nothing. I knocked on the door and received no response. I unlocked the door and an employee was laying on the floor listening to music and looked angry at me for disturbing his rest. I told him to leave and I took care of my business

When I was done, the employee was still in the restroom. I informed an employee outside of the restroom about the situation. A manager checked and the employee came out a few minutes later and went into the kitchen.

The manager never stopped by to explain or apologize for the situation. Makes me think this might be normal behavior at this place

Update, I spoke with the manager who very polite apologized for the lack of communication and was friendly and polite. Five stars!
