All 5 of us contracted Norovirus/Food poisoning here on March 7. We had a 6 PM reservation. Unfortunately, management has not acknowledged our calls or voicemails. Please be aware.
UPDATE: Their response contradicts what they have emailed us. They asked for verification details of the reservation name, time, hospital note, and our order. They confirmed our order in the POS system and "confirmed our reservation through camera footage" but have now ghosted us, saying we didn't provide enough information but won't tell us what additional information is needed. They also plated all of our rolls wrong so their solution was to bring out a bunch of extra plates and rearrange all of our rolls on an open table and moved them around in front of us with their hands. They have denied any refunds. The health department is performing an inspection today 3/14.
UPDATE 3/18: They never asked for a note endorsed from my provider, which I have, but Sushi One stopped responding to our emails when we asked what additional information was needed. We also received a copy of the report from the Health Department and your claims are not accurate- there was food that was handled improperly and there were a couple items you "voluntarily discarded" per the report from the Health Department.
This experience has been enlightening as your public responses do not match your private responses and you are not transparent with your community on what the Health Department noted.
You’re joking.
This is in response to the management’s response to my friend’s review. We have been in email correspondence with them for a few days now. And now that my GI system has calmed down, I’m pretty upset with this restaurant’s tone. Are you honestly gaslighting our party into saying we couldn’t possibly have dined there? The reservation was originally for 6 guests under the name Maria Duncan. One of us could not make it, so there ended up being 5 of us. We have provided receipts, we have provided EXACTLY what we ordered and at what times. We have even provided documentation that we got sick— one of us to the point where she had to be seen and treated in the ER.
All of us contracted norovirus from this location. To say that there’s zero possibility that we contracted it here when ALL of us got it boggles my mind.
By the way, I travelled an hour and 30 minutes to come see these girls and have dinner here. I travelled straight to the restaurant, had dinner, and travelled straight back home and was sick about 10-12 hours later. The audacity to say that we couldn’t have all gotten it when it’s the only place we have all been together is beyond reprehensible. You have the receipt that shows we all dined there and what we had.
Did you check security cameras to see if your staff is conducting their hygiene practices to standard? Because they can’t possibly be. Do you have cameras in the kitchen? Because our orders were all sorts of messed up when they came out. There were multiple different orders of sushi on the same plate which had to be brought back to the kitchen and separated onto different plates and returned to us. SO many hands touched our food. How many of them washed their hands between touching our dishes? Can you tell me that from your security footage? I wasn’t upset until just now when you tried to call us liars when we spent days unable to eat, drink, or stop vomiting/defecating. This is unacceptable and you should be ashamed of yourself.

Atmosphere was impressive, the restaurant was clean and interesting. The servers were prompt, friendly and engaging. Menu choices were enticing~ many healthy options! We enjoyed the edamame and Takatiki tuna ($17) for starters. My daughter enjoyed the vegetable spring rolls but I did not think they were flavorful. We ordered 2 BOGO sushi rolls at 19$ each- they were fresh, tasty and each good portions overall but too heavy on the rice: fish ratio, served with an attractive garnish including carrots, ginger and wasabi. My daughter had a small warm sake which she enjoyed, and a soft drink. The bill was just under $70, which I thought was too pricey. (And a tip on top of that)

Myself and 5 other girlfriends went out for sushi and while the food was tasty, the waitress kept getting our orders mixed up. We each placed our own sushi orders but they came out together on the same plates. So we had to ask her to take them back and separate the orders so we could eat our own food without reaching over the table. Lots of hands touched our food to separate it. That was fine, we didn't think much of it and we had a nice time... but the next day, all 6 of us were dying with a case of norovirus. Some of us tried to call the restaurant but haven't received a response. We were offered to email them with more on our experience and we will. Just be careful because we had a rough couple of nights.

We always have a great experience at Sushi One. The ambience is really relaxing. The food is really good and it's always presented. Well. The service was also really great for it to be Valentine's Day.
This was the best sushi I've ever had. My bestie said the exact same thing. Everything was delicious and fresh. The service & ambiance is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had such a great time at Sushi One. Some friends of mine planned a reservation and the customer service that followed was amazing. Everyone was so attentive, especially Krista. The food was so good and the sushi so fresh. This is our second annual dinner at Sushi One and I'm so excited for next year!

Nikki with Offline - I ordered the Volcano Roll and the Fusion Roll, Both were beautifully presented, I was a bit disappointed with the cooked salmon on the Volcano Roll—it was a bit dry for my taste. That said, the flavors of the rolls were still enjoyable, and the menu offers a fantastic selection of both raw and cooked sushi to satisfy any craving.
I sat at the bar, which had a nice ambiance—perfect for a casual sushi night. The service was attentive and friendly, making the evening even better. Plus, I found out that Thursdays are half off wine—definitely a perk!
All in all, Sushi One is a solid spot for sushi lovers in Raleigh, and I’ll definitely be back to try more rolls. Just hoping for slightly juicier salmon next time!

I ordered the crab rangoon, side of fried rice and the fusion roll. The fried rice was delicious great flavor and rice was cooked perfectly. The crab Rangoon was alright, I definitely have had better. They were fried perfectly, but it lack flavor and too much filler and not enough crab meat. Also, more wrapping than filling. Lastly, the fusion roll, I simply didn’t like salmon was on the drier side and the tempura breading was too thick and just not good. Otherwise the service was great, food came out quickly and hot. Ambience was as definitely a plus, very nice inside ❤️

Great experience celebrating daughter's 22nd Birthday. In fact, the restaurant beat my expectations, as prior to visiting, my frame of reference were Sushi restaurants like O-Ku and M-Sushi. I'd say Sushi One is now my top for quality, variety and cost. Loved the experience, will definitely be going back.
Vegetarian options: Veggie-holic sushi roll is best option for vegetarians and very tasty.
Red thai curry with Tofu is also good.

So this is my second time visiting and I had went because I had an offline order. For starters it was way too cold in there. The outside temperature was maybe 70 degrees. I got the sesame chicken bento box which came with fried rice, a vegetable egg roll and broccoli. The food was ok wish it was more sesame chicken though. The service could've been better as well ,took way too long from getting sat to getting my checked fix the second time. Not sure if I'll be back

Everything was fantastic! The service was impeccable, and their filet mignon hibachi is a must order. Also some of the freshest sushi I’ve experienced. Can’t wait to come back!

I unfortunately need to change my review. This restaurant has a set up where, once we ordered drinks, we were told if we completed a review they'd be free. We did the review. The drinks came out quickly and with a garnish. Super cute! It then took almost 45 minutes to get our food while we had no water and didnt see the waitress. The sushi portion was beyond tiny and overpriced. The chicken in the hibachi was over salted. Service was slow from the time we got the first drinks on. You basically get tricked into leaving a good review, and they just hope you don't go back to change it
