The brisket was old and dry. Maybe someone forgot to cover the brisket in the hot box or they ran out of tallow. I was completely surprised by how dry it looked. I ordered, therefore I was willing to take the loss and try. The potato salad looks nothing like the real potato salad on their site. The cornbread was dry with a burnt taste. The Mac and cheese was dry. Love the jalapeno Mac and cheese concept and taste. If having the food ready for immediate consumption is their goal then they've reached their goal. BUT, The brisket was well seasoned and the sauce was incredible. The hush puppies were delicious with just the right amount of sweetness and herbs. All staff were courteous and the atmosphere was pleasant. I had high hopes for this place but was very disappointed. Maybe I came after the lunch rush. Maybe, just maybe, the staff ignored their training on preservation and depended on speed or service versus quality of food.

BBQ is usually expensive so the prices were high as expected, however the dryness of both the brisket and the pastrami brisket is laughable. If you are in the Raleigh area and hungry for BBQ, I would recommend you look elsewhere. They have a 4.2 rating for a reason.

The food was very good. I ordered the Lamb plate worth jalapeno Mac & cheese. The Mac & cheese was very tasty. The lab was okay. I think I’m going to try the chicken or turkey next time.
Mr. Larry was nice. He greeted us at the door. He gave excellent recommendations. The staff was awesome. They offer plenty of seats in their spacious dining area. The dining area was clean & they offer seats near the window as well. Parking might be a little difficult BUT they have parking in the deck that’s convenient.

I got the ribs with two side and banana pudding the taste as they were boiled and then bbq got the jalapeño mac and cheese bake bean everything lack favor and was totally bland the corn bread was the best thing on the plate and the banana pudding was below average lack bananas and wafers don't know how this place has 4.2 start
