I really loved the one on Hillsborough street. I always kind of expect a small wait for fresh food and never minded. today I went to their new location and as of this review I have waited over 44 minutes for food. that's not counting the 3-5 minutes we had to wait for someone to even come take our order. the only reason we waited for her to tske the order that long is we really like the food but after this experience I dont think I would be back.

The food/service is excellent, if you order the wings and want them to remain crispy ask to get your sauce choice on the side and light salt. I also had the shrimp tray, steak/cheese sub and Tenders tray. Every visit here has been great with no shortcuts.

Not welcoming at all . Food was ok for the most part a fresh but the customer service was trash . The other location is way better as far as food taste and the service .
Kid-friendliness: Seating is not really for small children at all and chair aren’t even sturdy enough for most adults . I feel for any plus size that visit this location you are better off eating in your car or Visit the hillsborough location it’s better .

I TRIED REALLY HARD TO LOVE THIS PLACE BUT THE CONS OUTWEIGH THE PROS.
We have been supporting this business since they operated off of Rigsbee Ave in Durham years ago. Food was always good and online ordering was the best, no long wait times. Now, it seems everything has gone downhill. We come from far and the past few times we’ve came have been very disappointing. The wait times seem to increase with each return, food gets saltier and not to mention much more expensive. We waited an HOUR for two plates just for our food to be mediocre at best. If I'm paying those inflated prices, I do NOT want to wait longer than 15-20 minutes for it to come out, especially when not many people are coming in or out of the building. It’s 2024, what business doesn’t offer over the phone or online ordering? You’re making the money with how high your prices have gotten, invest in a service like that or on hiring more cooks. Sucks bc this was one of our favorite spots but they have a lot they need to work on.

First time stopping in and baby, the hot honey shrimp and the buffalo ranch shrimp with the queso fries will have you hung over the plate devouring in one mouthful. I promise you. Thank you we enjoyed and you will see again for more.

This place was so disgusting. It was so nasty when we walked in that we decided to leave. I decided to go to the bathroom just to look at it and it was even worse. The restaurant smelled so bad. It smelled like poop and they were trying to cover smell with pinesol and fabaloso. Word of advice to the owner please get staff that will have your back and keep your establishment clean. I believe you could go much further with help.

We ate here prior to a concert the other night. The floors had a ton of grease on them making them very slippery and the bathrooms were disgusting. There was no hot water hooked up in the bathroom closet to the counter, I used that one because the other was disgustingly useable. I know the guy in front of us and our order took almost 20 minutes....chicken nuggets and fries. While waiting for our orders the girl at the counter used the same bathroom I ended up using....remember no hot water to wash your hands. We took our to go order to the concert venue but after the first couple bites we decided not to eat it. The girl waiting on us was pleasant but the restaurant was too dirty. The windows on the doors look like someone had smeared grease all over them and they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. We will not return.
This gets 5 stars purely for the food!! I was literally shocked at how flavorful my meal was. Lemon Pepper fries, perfect amount of sauce, this food is ridiculously tasty.

I had the hot honey tender tray with the chicken queso fries. Strawberry crunch cake and honeybun cake. The cakes were dry and the fries were very salty. And the tenders were on point. I would come back again. It took about 45 minutes for the food. Service can be a little faster but I WILL ALWAYS SUPPORT MY PEOPLE. Keep up the great work.

The Dankery always has the best food 100/10 you can’t go wrong with their trays. The amount of food you receive is definitely worth the money and to know it’s owned by a young black man makes you want to support even more! If you haven’t tried it run don’t walk!
