The katsu itself is pretty decent. The “noodles” they use are definitely box barilla spaghetti. Low on flavor, bordering bland.

I really was not impressed with this bowl, I had the chicken teriyaki. It looks fantastic but did not live up to my expectations on taste. The noodles were overcooked and the chicken tasted a bit chewy. Unfortunately did not live up to how good it looked.

Ordered the Thai Street Noodles and the Chicken Ramen. The noodles were very saucy and the flavors were competing with each other. The chicken was rubbery and lacked flavor. The ramen was bland and watery. Wouldn’t recommend these item.

The California Chicken Sandwich is the bomb dot com. Pro tip: add picked onions to it.

Food is always amazing but went a bit after lunch and all the workers were in the bathroom weighing themselves with a scale, and then when I did order it took over 30 minutes and they messed up my order.

The bulgogi stir fry was bland and flavorless, the noodles almost seemed to be spaghetti instead of a chow mein noodle. The ramen was salty.

I got the tonkotsu ramen, it was very salty. Overall taste was sub par. And about 4 hours after eating it, I developed mild food poisoning symptoms. I was ok the next day but please be careful with undercooked pork, thank you.

This is my second time ordering here off a computer. The people working wouldn’t even great you. Sucks that the food is so good cause it is but the non existent service is insane. Bitter over how rude the lady working the “front” is.

The tonkotsu ramen is delicious! I’ve had it a few times now and it’s always been great! My only slightly negative comment is about the bowls, they are a little flimsy. We took our ramen to go and it had leaked through the bottom only a couple of minutes into the drive home. Thankfully it wasn’t a bad leak, but we had a very short drive and had to immediately put it in a different container when we got home.

Double fryer chicken to reheat it. Tasted like rubber…No flavor in the noodles. Order on kiosk so no real interface to the staff

It's a bit confusing where to order since you order sandwiches under The Bowl and ramen under Katsu.
I ordered the ninja katsu sandwich. First off, it was HUGE. But sadly it wasn't good. The katsu chicken was not a good texture. And the flavor was okay.
I did enjoy the homemade chips! ?

Overall, I would not give them another try. At first it seems like you're getting a great value because the sandwich is huge but it's not something I enjoyed eating and couldn't finish it.

Parking: You can find $1 parking in a parking garage a block away. It's a 7 minute walk from the parking garage to the food hall.

First things first be mindful that this restaurant is inside a Food Hall so it can get pretty crowded with all the restaurant options.

As for the ordering experience it was confusing to order because it's 2 different restaurants, The Bowl and The Katsu, and the menus are swapped. The chicken sandwich ? menu was under 'The Bowl' sign and the ramen ? menu was under 'the katsu' sign.

The value was amazing but the chicken was a bit dry and over cooked. On the upside 1 sandwich is enough to share between 2 people and the fresh chips that come with the sandwich are pretty good.

Parking: Be prepared to pay for parking because it's downtown Raleigh. Good news there are some city owned lots that are $1 for the first 2 hours just a few blocks away.
