Met a friend here for lunch for the first time and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit! I had the braised beef rib and opted for cheese grits instead of mashed potatoes. The rib was pull with your fork tender and had so much flavor!! My friend ordered the salmon which had a nice crust and was cooked to perfection. We also ordered the fried biscuits with pepper jelly. Bartenders barely acknowledged me while at the bar , I sat here for a while and the lady at the bar barely even talked to me; except to ask I I wanted to order something . I had to ask if she could described some of the dishes I was contemplating to order. Poor service , I didn’t feel welcomed nor acknowledged. This is my second time at the bar.
Food was great. I had the pork and my wife had steak frites. Pork cooked perfectly and steak right on the money. Tuna tartar was some of the best I've had. I highly suggest this restaurant. It's not in downtown Raleigh so it's easy to get to, but it is also highway accessible. It's worth it.
