Went for a lunch. Had the skillet honey cornbread and ribs, as well as the fried chicken. All very good. Would definitely go back. The cornbread had a blueberry compote and it was almost a dessert.
We used The Pit to cater a work event for delivery (can't speak to atmosphere). The staff who delivered was extremely nice, on time, and executed the set up quickly. Our guests and staff raved about the food, the flavors, and the portions. Some said it was the BEST they've ever had! We were thoroughly satisfied with the entire experience. Will use them again!
The atmosphere here is fantastic, but it comes at the expense of slow service and subpar “fancy” BBQ food. Despite the glowing reviews and enticing menu, the actual taste of the food was a letdown. The hush puppies were incredible, but the biscuits were a bit dry. They were perfectly complemented by the sweet butter.
