Very disappointing dinner on 10/18/25. I lived in Raleigh about ten years ago and this use to be a staple for southern BBQ, so I was excited to bring someone from out of the country to experience this. I was embarrassed for even making the reservation. The staff walks around like no one cares, food was cold & under-seasoned, it's overall just missing the spark it once had. We had to go to a different restaurant afterwards just to feel like the night wasn't a total...
We were seated promptly and our server was at our table immediately. Our drinks and food arrived very quickly. Our meals were outstanding...we all shared because the portions are huge. The biscuits and hush puppies were also excellent.
One of the best meals I've ever had. We started with the Pit Sampler. Everything was amazing...especially the BBQ soul rolls! I had the Carolina Classic Combo (chopped BBQ and fried chicken) with brussel sprouts and sweet potato casserole. The other 2 in my party had the brisket. No one had any complaints and no room for dessert. 😊 Will definitely eat here again on a future visit!
