Visited City of Raleigh for the first time and this establishment. Unfortunately, this will be my last visit to this venue. It wasn't my cup of tea for a bunch atmosphere especially for the location; I would visit as a night-time club, absolutely. The group I was with we were not able to have a conversation among ourselves because of the very loud music. We had to yell.
From the website pictures I thought it was an upscale place. It's not. Redflag; security at door is never a good sign. I tend to try and stay away from establishments like that. I should have read the reviews before coming. However, this place wasn't our first choice. The first place was closed. So we opt to come here. Then the cost of parking ridiculous. This is a daytime club & hookah lounge with much twerking. Also, I didn't like the $40 cost for a limited amount of food choices, fried chicken/fish, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, mashed sweet potatoes. I'm assuming, Grits & scrambled eggs??? I didn't inquire.
Even though, we weren't pleased. Management, however heard of our disappointing visit to their establishment and asked for feedback. Then asked if there was something they could do to make the experience better. So, they prepared 4 fresh meals to go for us. It was appreciated. Thank you.
Will I return? No, not for bunch. The club vibe for brunch isn't for me.
Parking: Ridiculously expensive.

They charged $40 when you go thru buffet they give you two drummetts half spoon of sides and 1 small piece fish tell you have to come back for more food.
They did not have enough food on bar for number of people that was there.
Buffet had a handful of hash brown , dirty brown looking eggs, yams, fish cut in small pieces . You are served enough food for a two year old child. And the forty dollars does not include a drink. Add another 5$ for soda or water. This place is garbage and a rip-off and you have to pay for parking. We paid 8$for parking. I got out better and would have been full off can of beanie weenies. I recommend your stay home and cook. I don't eat Mc Donald's I rather went there. And you had to hold your plate in your hand.
Parking: Stay far far away

I visited this place for the first time this past Sunday & it was horrible!!! The food is terrible. Whomever cooks, uses too much salt. All the food they had were salty, we couldn't eat. There was 10 of us. I had a cup of collard greens & had to pour half cup of water in it to dilute so I could eat it. There "buffet " is not an actual buffet. They staff to serve you, and there was only 9 items on the menu, what???š¤ The cost is ($40) too high for what they offer. The only GOOD thing was the Dj & the mimosas. WILL NEVER GO BACK & I RECEOMMEND only go for the drinks & music!!! The food is a no go for me & my friends! You also have to pay for parking by the hour, $13 for max stay.

First off, let me start by saying the vibe was amazing, but Iām a firm believer that if I spend my money somewhere, I will tell how good the service is and the service was COOL. However for $45 when it says $35 on the website is unacceptable. Fix that! Secondly that food literally everywhere was disgusting, salty, the only thing that taste edible was the fish but Iām disappointed to have only one plate of nasty food !!! If you guys are going to target all you can eat buffet then it needs to be round of food coming. I arrived around 110 approximately got a good seat stood online for about 25 minutes and they had no food left. Unacceptable. AF

Visited The Venue when Dj Cleve was the on the one's and two's. Had an awesome time. The atmosphere was very nice. Wait staff was nice and polite! I will be going back. I didn't even get a chance to eat from having too much fun. But from the looks of other people's plates the food looked really good.

Every time I visit the Venue itās a great time.
There may be a line at the door like any other popular establishment, but get there early! Grab your food and drinks from the buffet and bar. Once you sit down and eat the hookah person comes around just in time. DJ is on point, and I swear once you get up and dance youāre not sitting back down ! Definitely will be back !

Update: you clearly donāt make improvements if we are saying the same things. One of the bouncers tried to validate what happened to my friend by saying āmaybe itās not the place for herā. People need to keep hands to themselves. Yāall are ridiculous. You can control certain things. The line was long even being there early. Like I said no fans, if your AC is out consistently then at what point will you think to get more fans for your customers. The response from the place is so passive aggressive. Thatās not an option, itās fact
I should have read the reviews first. Trash. Terrible. Waste of time. And money. First of all, Please read the one star reviews before coming here. Bad experience and waste of money and time. Everyone is saying the same exact thing and I completely understand from the experience we had.
1. The line that we waited in. We waited 1.5 hours to get in. The owners comment oh itās āinevitableā, you want people to pay $450-600 for a booth or whatnot instead of having more seating. Put water or fans outside for customers. The AC was broken someone could have passed out inside. Honestly, they open at 12 and if you get there even at 12:30 just leave because youāre not going to get in. No fans on the inside either.
2. The food line was ridiculously long. So we waited that long just for us to get in and have to wait longer for food. You might as well just have a house party with your people and catered food would have been better. Or go anywhere else, but here. Wasnāt even great honestly and read the rest of the reviews because everyone says the same thing. If youāre going to have ongoing food, then make sure itās heated.
3. The DJ was trash didnāt even know how to do transitions from songs. Made a bunch of weirdo comments the entire time. Learn the difference between a fun time and things you donāt need to say.
4. Very disappointed. People donāt have boundaries.
5. Bad customer service, lack of understanding. Even in the comments from these reviews the responses lack accountability and the business does not want to accept criticism. I want to support and uplift black businesses. This place makes it hard to do so. I hope they take this critique and fix it because we are all saying the same things.

First of all you wait over 2 hours in line to be told thereās a wait and they couldnāt tell you how much longer you would have to wait. Management is very unprofessional, thereās no way they are charging at the door before you get in and thereās only standing room. They need to have a prepay system that requires reservations in advance for each time slot. This has to be the worst experience ever waiting for service. They had two hours to tell us we couldnāt get in.

Very disappointed , please take this negative reviews as a opportunity to correct the problems that occur.. first off I didn't do the reviews I went off what I heard and that it was a vibe, and the food was good NEWS Flash ? it wasn't. We were a party of 10 . I went up for my food which was beyond me why i thought it was a little classier than it was, my expectation was blown away by disappointment. The food was cold and it says buffet style. Hmm ? It was limited one plate because they ran out of food. And mind you we was there by 2:30 so if you close at 5:00pm, that food should've still been coming out into the last customer, otherwise why charge $35 per person when you know the food was limited . I literally paid $35 for a little eggs, two strips of bacon ,two pieces of chicken, wings, and mac & cheese and your Beverly is NOT included. My family was only able to get vegetables. OK they fried them three chicken wings pp whoop to do and brought it to the table. which was redundance , Of course I'm out of town and I brunch all the time, I have never seen nothing like it. and Of course I spoke with the manager. He was pretty much nonchalant about it, very unprofessional because that's not the way you handle business. Trying to support black owners sometime could be very disappointing sorry ! Sunday Brunch is clearly for 35 and younger based on music selection. Mostly women. Overpriced drinks.
Can we get 100% music pre 2005? One Sunday a month? Then maybe 40+ will come spend money? Otherwise this ain't it.

Let me start off by saying that this place definitely is a vibe but all the fantastic things I loved about this place was overshadowed by the negative things I experienced. First of all you need to be in line pretty early because it gets long fast. We stood outside for at least 1.5 hours in the heat waiting for it to open at 12:00pm which was closer to 12:30pm when I went. Admission was $35, front door staff was very pleasant. Once inside, we got lucky because we were seated in a nice brown booth area right near the stage. It was my birthday and I was excited we were finally in just to realize that we have to get in another extremely long line to get our food from the buffet. I also need to add that it was extremely hot inside, it was hard to feel the air conditioning. Once we were situated in our booth we decided to get up to get food because the line was getting longer and longer! We stood in line for well over an hour!! I was frustrated, hungry, thirsty, and annoyed at this point. I will note that there was a guy that was walking by with a large tray of fruit, folks in line could grab a piece of chunked fruit (it would be nice if it were small kabobs instead of just one piece of fruit and too be honest it could have been an actual sample of real food!!!) By the time we were near the buffet it was so hot Iād was nearly unbearable ( itās not truly a buffet, options are very limited, they did not include fresh fruit, dessert, or bread) There was only 2 servers serving food for this entire venue!!! The guys were pleasant and gave a fair amount of food but water should have been included! I had to spend $2.50 on a bottled water and after standing in such a hot line for almost 2 hours! This place is nice overall but there is so much improvement that needs to take place. Pros: the food was flavorful, the host was fantastic and so full of life, she kept the show flowing nicely and she was so energetic! DJ was great too. Cons: stood in line for almost 3 hours total, it was so hot inside, the servers that were doing the food was so slow, and there probably needs to be about 6-8 staff serving food. I donāt understand why wait staff canāt just take your order and then bring us the food out!! It does not make sense that I had to stand in a hot line for what felt like almost 2 hours! They truly need to fix this, I will not be back because of it, also there was no real waitressās, no one comes to give you napkins, ask if you want anything, that was annoying. Once FINALLY seated I did have a good time with my friends but standing in line for so long makes you feel drained!! I wanted to love this place but it fell flat. With some improvements this place could be awesome.
