Close to the street, very noisey! Little insulation to block even talking at street level. New Year's Eve party is just ok. Food was average-not special-and the band was off key and loud to the point of being painful.
We went there for a girls-night-out, and had the best time! It was freezing and windy outside, but the fireplaces were lit, and the staff was so sweet about letting us transition back inside after we took some pictures. I ordered a chocolate martini, and my glass was filled up to the rim! No skimpy servings here! From our sweet seating hostess, to our waiter...everyone was so kind and welcoming. Thank you for providing such a beautiful space, right in the heart of downtown Raleigh.

What is the draw of a rooftop bar on a nice day that becomes such an attraction? Being out on an open rooftop overlooking the city, surrounded by comfortable chairs and excellent drinks is what brought me to the Willard and being as impressed as I was, I will return.
