Walked in,.said it would be an hour and a half wait. Girlfriend looked at her phone, they had reservations starting 15 minutes later and the afternoon was pretty much open availability.
Ian was amazing he served my family of 12 guest and was so helpful and funny! He made us comfortable and provided exceptional service. Thank you Ian!!!!!
Came in for Sunday brunch around 10am. Service was pretty slow despite not being busy. That aside, the food was delicious, and our waitress was very kind. If you aren't pressed for time, this is a great way to kill a couple hours.
The biscuits were originally free. Now extra charge. Recently they changed the recipe making them smaller, thicker, and less flaky. Shrinkflation? I prefer the original recipe.
My friends and I came here while on vacation from Ohio. We went there around 4 pm on a Wednesday and it wasn't busy at all. It was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly. We had friend okra, fried green tomatoes, biscuits, pan seared salmon, chicken tenders, as well as chicken and waffles. With the exception of the rosemary parmesean potatoes (good flavor but a bit too salty), all the food was good. I would highly recommend their lemonade as we tried the peach and matcha flavors. Shout out to our server Tate who did an excellent job serving us!
For my fellow cup lovers: You can buy their glass cups if you ask 😉
Giving a big shout out to Tate he always takes care of us when we come in. EVERYTHING is always perfect and he's always so respectful and kind thanks so much Tate for everything!!!! Go Tate!!
We were searching online for a lunch spot that we hadn’t been to before and we came across Tupelos. We arrived about 15 mins early to our reservation and were seated about 5 mins after. Our server Tate was so kind and helpful, gave us really good recommendations too. The food came out super quick and we were pleased. We will be returning!
We had a fun experience at Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen. The food was good and the menu had a fun twist on a lot of the items.
Overall, everything was delicious and we'd give it another try. The waffles were light and airy and didn't get soggy under the fried chicken.
The smash Burger was another winner.
The meatloaf, however was subpar but the script potatoes saved the day.
We enjoyed a low key Easter brunch. The service was prompt, the food delicious and the atmosphere relaxed.
Ian was spectacular! Attentive, friendly - made us feel at "home". Food was great. If we visit again, we will be sure to stop by.

Great service! Service & mimosa flight were the best part. The food was just alright. I ordered the fried pickles to start, however they were way too salty to enjoy. Ordered the hot chicken & waffle with macaroni and cheese. The waffle was good, chicken was a little too breaded for my liking, and the macaroni was very bland. Wouldn't order any of those things again, but I would visit again to try something new.
The sweet potato pancakes were so good. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy, very well seasoned. The grits were okay, and so the biscuits ( they were a bit dense & salty). Overall it's a decent place to dine.
All of the previous reviews add accurate. The place is very very SHORT staffed and it shows from the moment you walk in to the time the food is delivered. It took about 10-15 mins for us to be greeted by the bartender who was also going to be a server. Until she had a breakdown, broke things, and then stormed off crying! Then returned clearly flustered and wiped her wet running nose with her hands, and continued to make drinks. We were eventually approached by a new server, Deja who saved the overall experience. She was very kind and pleasant but it unfortunately didn't make up for our overall experience. The food would have been decent but it all came out lukewarm to cold! Nothing and I do mean nothing was spectacular about this place!! Thank goodness for Deja being pleasant and the chef who was also running food to tables who attempted to save the day and our experience. They literally tried to make it better but it just wasn't enough!
ive been here twice before leaving this review.
waiting area is fairly large, and expect a wait time on weekends.
ive had the same waitress both times, and she's fantastic!
if youre dining for one, the chicken and waffles come out quick! ive tried the classic (my fav) chicken and waffles and the asheville hot mac and cheese waffles. the asheville hot chicken was not hot at all- didn't get any heat kick. the mac and cheese was subpar, but it's not from a kraft box.
pecan pie is pretty good too!
I'm on a mission to try all their chicken and waffles varieties, so I will be back soon.

This is a great place in Raleigh to get breakfast/ lunch. Just know that you will wait so make a reservation. The food takes a while but that's so you enjoy a drink and relax. The food was worth the wait. The potatoes were excellent.
