I’m more confused than anything. The staff were super nice when we walked in, which was about 15 minutes before closing. We were just checking the place out to see what they sold there. They told us about the self guided tour and then told my young daughter and son that they would get a free chocolate if they completed a scavenger hunt type questionnaire. They were super excited about this and i also purchased two soft serve ice creams. They ate their soft serve and completed the scavenger hunt by the time they were closing up. When my daughter went up to the counter to turn in her scavenger hunt and get the promised chocolate treat, they told her she wouldn’t be getting one because they were closing. What?? This place is very small and the girl at the counter knew the kids were running around answering the questions. And this was just as they closed; we didn’t stay past closing time and weren’t even the last people in there. The place literally says “free chocolate” outside and they can’t give two kids a sliver of chocolate for filling out two pages of questions? It was a strange experience.

The chocolates and ice creams were really good. They have a small treasure hunt game where you have to take a tour around the factory answering a few questions, you get a chocolate if you get all your answers right.

Their chocolate is not that good despite having a small selection and high price tag. If you are curious about different cacao such as trying chocolate made out of Vietnamese or Colombian cocoa then it maybe worth a shot.

Staff is super sweet and kind. We went in for a free sample and tried the “most liked” which was the dark sea salt. Didn’t really like it in the store but I felt like I should buy a bar (what is wrong with me?) it was $10!! Just ate all 350 calories of it and it’s by far the worst chocolate I’ve ever tasted. I really don’t think I’ve ever had any chocolate candy worse than this. I’m not really a sweets guy anyway, but definitely won’t be back for the chocolate. I ate the whole thing because I ain’t no chump.

Cool place. Way overpriced. This place looks little unorganized, feel like it has lot of improvements. And no white chocolate ☹️

It was super expensive, which I understand that could be from the whole single source and like artisan side of it.

But then, the flavors really didn't come through and work for me, so it was a bit disappointing for the price. The hot cocoa was kind of not super flavorful to me either compared to other artisan-style places like this that I've tried.

Then I got a whipped cream cup for my dog, and they charged like $1 and gave me like one of those VERY small like paper ketchup cups of whipped cream, which I would understand if it was free, but like a dollar for a ketchup cup of one of the cheaper things to make? Unhinged

A lot of money for a solid mid experience

Update Response to the Owner that commented: wow okay cool way to take what I thought wasn't unwarranted criticism. Little obsessive to go back and look at my other reviews, how's life trying to be an off-brand Wendy's Twitter account? You're just mean, like sure some customers and reviews are unreasonable, but I'm just giving my opinion and clearly you don't have much of a defense to just come after a probably 7 year old taco bell review -- if anyone takes the time to read this far, it wasn't a 1-star to start with

Sadly, we paid a good amount of money for this chocolate and then threw it away. There’s just no reason to bother eating bad chocolate, and this was really bad chocolate. Very disappointing.

Edit after business response: we asked numerous times for a refund because the gift wouldn't be received on time. There was never a request to resend it. You took this upon yourself to do on your own. Business owner shouldn't lie, and argue to and with customers.

Stay away from this company at all costs if you order online. Sam Ratto is the epitome of unprofessionalism of how a company should be run. Never received what was ordered and refusing to refund our money until they work it out with FedEx. Received an empty package as shown. Not our problem. Saying could be a month before getting our money back. Bad business. Don't argue with the customer. Disputed the charge, and Sam felt he'd dispute my dispute. Refund the money and get yourself reimbursed with FedEx. Terrible service. Anyone feel free to message me and I'd be happy to share the messaging conversation evidencing the unprofessional rudeness this individual displays. Company is a fraud. Stay far away.

I don’t get it. Overpriced on everything. A small box of 6 bite size chocolates for $28.00? I went, I saw, I’ll not be back. Very disappointing.

The chocolate is very good, and the staff there were very kind and tried to ensure you had a good experience, including with the chocolate tasting. The one downside is that if they advertise a tour, and then the tour is nothing but a bunch of employee-less rooms where nothing is going on, that's a tad disappointing. They had videos and written guidance of what sometimes tales place, but it wasn't the same as what we expected. So, go for the chocolate, not the tour.

I visited in October 2024 while traveling from California, as I love chocolate and was excited to see this place offered a self-guided tour. The first day, I arrived too late after eating across the street at Pit Barbecue and found it closed, so I made an effort to return the next day. Unfortunately, my visit was disappointing.

The two samples provided were so small they were barely enough to taste—about half the size of a mint, if not smaller. I understand there are costs involved in chocolate production, but the stinginess with the samples felt excessive.

The process of making chocolate was interesting to see, as it’s clearly a small operation, but the candy itself was overpriced—even from the perspective of someone living in Los Angeles, where everything is notoriously expensive. Overall, it didn’t meet my expectations.
