The food is delicious, the kids at the register are great, and of course whoever is doing all the cooking and preparation are fantastic. It can get very hectic and crowded and it can be really hard to find a parking place so you need to be prepared, or I'd just like to go at 11:30 or say 1:30.
We enjoy all of the food options at Village Deli. The food is excellent. Staff is nice and helpful. We like that both indoor and outdoor seating is available. Great variety of sandwiches.
I got door dash food from them and the Cole slaw was bad I've been throwing up and pooping trying to get it out . I went back to smell it and it was bad . I call to let them know and the lady that answer the phone didn't care one bit about what I had told her. So eat at you own risk because they don't care the was money
Nobody cares 🤬 . I waited a long time for my orderI always have to wait. I will report this to DoorDash.👎👎👎
Village Deli is so good and the service is great! My favorite thing that is served here are the sweet potato fries, I would recommend these to everyone! I also got a BLT and it was delicious!

Went on a quiet Saturday night, service was friendly and food came out quickly. Overall the food was okay - surprised to see my club sandwich not toasted, fries were under salted. Husband's black bean burger pretty much disintegrated. But, the pasta salad and hummus plate were good! If I lived nearby I would probably come back to try some other selections but just traveling through I'd pick somewhere new to try.

Village Deli in Raleigh is a fantastic spot for fresh, satisfying meals! Their sandwiches are made with high-quality ingredients, and you can taste the difference. I ordered the turkey club, which was piled high and perfectly balanced with crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and savory bacon. Their soups are also great – the tomato basil was delicious and comforting. The vibe is casual and friendly, and the staff make you feel right at home. It’s a perfect lunch spot, especially if you’re looking for something local and well-made. Definitely a go-to for anyone in the area craving a great deli experience!
Parking: Depending on the time and day of the week, parking can differ, but it usually is pretty easy to find a spot.

Check out my special guest (Monarch) while dining outside at Village Deli and Grill! A FIVE-STAR regular stop in the heart of Raleigh's Village District for quality soups, sandwiches, salads, baked goods, drinks and more. My favorites include the killer pimento cheese sandwich with a cup of chili; fish and chips combo; Caesar salad with a variety of protein options (fresh grilled salmon is my top choice), brownies, cookies, and more! You can't go wrong here and there is something for everyone. Eat inside or outside. Parking lot and lots of shopping.

Ordered takeout online. That was very easy and simple. However, this location struggles with timeliness and quality control of their food. Managers don’t seem to consistently check orders for quality and accuracy. The sandwiches were burnt not toasted and the fries were underdone and potatoey still. Staff are very friendly though! However, go out of your way to go to the Lake Boone Trail location over this one until they learn from it because they food their is consistent and great!

Not many good options for vegetarians! I got the black bean burger and it didn't taste very good or well cooked. I've also tried the tempeh Ruben which theoretically I should love, but the tempeh is very thick and over powers the sandwich. Although they are trying, it's not working. They should hire vegetarian consultant to help them serve better vegetarian options. It was almost $20 when I added fries and a drink.
Vegetarian options: I've tried several of the vegetarian options they offer... but didn't like any of them. This place would do well to offer farm fresh vegetables, lentil and kale soup, vegetarian chili, egg and cheese and avocado panini ... just to offer a few suggestions.

My wife and I joined family for a lunch date at the original location, Village District on Daniels St. in Raleigh. . . good food, and nice atmosphere at the deli. Inside & Outside seating available. At Sunday brunch we were lucky to find a table for 6!
As you enter, there’s a “order line” at the front counter. So many choices of soups, salads, sandwiches, paninis, and burgers!
My wife likes Reubens, I usually go for the double decker club sandwiches! Fresh ingredients are the BEST, and these sandwiches didn’t disappoint! ???
( I have to question “ fresh fish” at a place so far from any oceans or lakes? But they did advertise wild caught shrimp ? for their Po’boy sandwiches! I also noticed English pub style Fish n’ Chips on the menu ? )
As the servers carried salads and paninis by our table. . . tough to wait for our sandwiches to be made! Eventually our food arrived, everyone enjoyed their selections.

Overall, we’d certainly return for another round of good food at the Village Deli & Grill! Thank you for a delicious lunch !
Really enjoyed the Chicken Gyro. The food was fresh and delicious, with every bite full of flavor. The chicken was tender and seasoned perfectly, complemented by the crisp vegetables and creamy tzatziki sauce. The pita bread was soft and warm, tying everything together beautifully.
Portion sizes were generous, making it a satisfying meal. The balance of ingredients made each bite enjoyable without being overwhelming. The freshness of the ingredients truly stood out, elevating the whole experience.
Definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a flavorful and satisfying meal!
