Honestly pretty disappointed. I called before to ask about the size of the burgers since a lot of places around have smash burgers. I was told that they were 1/2 lb burgers. I went and ordered a burger, which first of all was very overpriced and also was $5 extra for a grass fed patty. Anyway, I got the burger and it was tiny. Not a smash burger but definitely not 1/2 pound. It tasted pretty good but it was a bit overcooked. Waitress was very inattentive despite it being quite empty.

Came in the other night and was met by the most wonderful bartender Desiree, who was so attentive and provided me with such genuine southern hospitality. I was visiting raleigh and had been to other bars where the bartender acted like I wasn’t even there but I didn’t get any of that when I came here, thanks Desiree!

We’re new in town and wanted to try a casual restaurant and so glad we tried Village Draft House. We split the French dip and chicken tacos and it was a debate as to which was better. Great portions and fantastic food. Laid back atmosphere. Going into our list.

We had a nice time at Village Draft House today. They have indoor and outdoor seating. When we arrived it wasn't crowded, they had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
Our service/server was good. He was at the table when we needed him, and took our order in a timely manner.
The food was good... I got the Adult Bacon Grilled Cheese. It had good flavors and the bacon was cooked nicely. My wife ordered the Turkey Avocado Sandwich. She ordered the bacon very well done and they did a good job of cooking it to her liking. The downside is there was only one piece of bacon on the sandwich. For the size of the sandwiches, I would have expected another slice or (preferably) two of bacon. The portion sizes of the meals are good.
The atmosphere is nice, what you would expect from a "draft house".
A couple places on the menu tell you to check the chalkboards for the daily specials. The problem is the chalkboards aren't in the best location to easily see them.
Overall we had a good experience and would most likely go back again.

My husband and I live near by and use to go 3 or 4 days a week. We always get the same food and drinks. We have stopped going as offen due to 1 bartender. She is absolutely terrible and she wasn't like that before the covid lockdown. I don't know what changed with Chrstine but her service sucks now. She use to be friendly not anymore. If you are not in her glick you are gonna wait a very long time for service. She gets to you when she feels like it. She needs to go!!! We won't return on the days she works EVER AGAIN. We have sat at tables instead of the bar due to football and have received our food before our drinks, sometimes after we have finished our dinner:( What's up with that? Hurts the servers tips and they are controlled by your bartender, Christine. It is not fair to your staff to let a bartender control the tips of your wait staff. Please correct this issue so you do not lose great employees. If not, they can work for me!
