This is one of the best restaurants in Raleigh. Leslie and Kasia were so friendly and Leslie treated us like the only people in the busy restaurant.

Kasia was warm, welcoming and attentive. The shrimp and grits were unparalleled. I would say this is the best restaurant in Lafayette village!

We sat inside and it was still noisy. Lots of kids inside which we were surprised since the outdoors area usually of Lafayette village is full of kids in the evenings.. the food was good, larger portions than we expected for appetizers. We went there on a date night but probably wouldn't go again in the evening time.
Absolutely the worst hamburger and fries I have ever experienced. Our server, forgot her name but she claimed to have 20 years in the restaurant business, mostly in Colorado. She asked how I wanted the burger, medium rare, what I received was an over cooked hamburger significantly smaller than the bun it was served on. The meat was so overcooked it was white. The person I was with has fish allergies and our server informed us that the fries are cooked in the same oil as fish offerings. Really, you don't have a separate frier? Fries were also awful and cold. I normally would have attempted to resolve in the restaurant, but I had taken a friend out to lunch that was moving away, did not want to make an issue. Food awful, server awful. Never ever again will I go here. You have been warned. Also, let's not forget that I paid cash, and of course our experienced server first response was "do you need change". The appropriate dialog should have been: " I will be right back with your change". The customer can determine the appropriate tip when the change comes back. And they are not giving the food away $$$

I ordered the crab cakes thinking I was going to get good ones for $28. Boy,what a mistake that was! Both were thin, round, and looked like they were stamped out by a machine. No evidence of any crab meat, just breading.Plus they were cold and tasted bad. Mrs Paul's frozen crab cakes would have blown these away. Beware!

Food was delicious and ambiance was inviting. They accommodated my family of 10 at the last minute on a Sunday morning. Our server was patient and friendly. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had the shrimp and grits and it was delicious. Mimosas weren’t watered down. Will be back!
