Vinnie's Steak House & Tavern

We have dined at Vinnie's many times over several years. The service is always excellent...attentive without being intrusive. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and chose steaks which were cooked to perfection and delicious. We will continue to patronize Vinnie's in the future as one our "go to' choices for special occasions.

Truly a wonderful dining experience! We brought dear friends to the restaurant to celebrate the new year and enjoy each other's company. Our server Jules, made us feel wonderful with her courteous demeanor and competent service. From the delicious oysters, the succulent Ahi Tuna, the well prepared steaks, and the amazing potato Gouda side, the meal was spectacular. We are looking forward to returning.

The food was decent, but it certainly wasn't worth the exorbitant price we paid. A run-of-the-mill ribeye at $90 per pound is simply ridiculous, regardless of the location. The sides were just average, offering nothing extraordinary. The service was excruciatingly slow, especially considering it was a Tuesday evening. I can only imagine how dreadful it would be on a Saturday night. On a positive note, the ambiance was impeccable, just like a high-end steakhouse should be. However, be prepared to be appalled by the state of the men's restroom. My wife mentioned that the ladies' room was at least somewhat clean.

This was our first time and we were very excited based on the reviews. We eat out a lot in Raleigh, so we know the food scene very well. The food was fantastic but we didn't get to try everything we ordered because they forgot it. The service was majorly lacking. We got seated right around 7:35, ordered around 7:45, and didn't get our meals until after 8:45. So over an hour for food to come. In this time, the server forgot to bring us bread until nearly 8:30 so we sat at the table with no food for nearly an hour. On top of that, they totally forgot to bring us the French onion soup we ordered, which was supposed to come out prior to the meal. On top of that, not that it was required, but no discount or comp for the poor service (speed) or totally forgetting the single appetizer we ordered (soup) when the kitchen was running over an hour behind. I didn't mention it or ask for one, but as someone who eats out often, most of the other high end restaurants would've made up for the poor service (discount, free desert, etc).

We had a great meal at a high top in the bar with Jules. The food was fantastic and the service was great.

Every single time I've been, and I've been going to Vinnie's for many years now, Vinnie's proves over and over that they are the best restaurant in the triangle. The food is immaculate at reasonable prices, but what really stands out is the service. They treat you like literal family. Once you've been there once or twice, they know you by name, they'll know who your favorite server is, your preferred area of the restaurant to be seated in, etc. The managers, owners, and head chef will all come to check on you and make friendly conversation. This restaurant simply can't be beat, for just a random night out or a fancy special occasion dinner. 10/10 stars!

The steaks were amazing. My wife’s filet was very tender . Prime rib was also excellent. Hank, our server is in a league of his own. Really enjoyed this experience.

DELICIOUS! The best meal I have had in a long time. Hands down the best steak, ever! Make sure to try the hot crab dip!

Amazing as always! Vinnie‘s service and menu never disappoints. Wonderful birthday dinner, wonderful wine, choices, and amazing selection of sides! Omar was a wonderful server and the manager Katie always puts a personal touch on things. Why go anywhere else?

We went to Vinnie's while in a Raleigh for a concert weekend. Started with the fried lobster tail and it was great. We shared the bacon wrapped filet and got asparagus hollandaise and rosotto for sides. Everything was fantastic and the waiter took extra care to set it up easy for sharing. Cocktails were not to our liking and the waiter and bartender got creative to make sure all was well. Complimentary limoncello cheesecake for my birthday was a nice touch. Service is extraordinary and I highly recommend Vinnie's.

It was my wife's birthday dinner. We shared a wedge salad. It was plenty big for us both and the waiter accommodated us with different dressing for each of us and no blue cheese for my wife. We got both a bacon wrapped 8oz filler and a ribeye. The steaks were done perfect medium rare and we shared them as well. We also split the giant baked potato and had plenty to take home. Overall, a very good meal. It was half price wine Tuesday and we enjoyed a nice bottle of wine. Total cost was $215 before tip, so it is an expensive night but very good meal.

We were there to celebrate my brother's birthday. Everything was excellent. It was our first time there and we will definitely return. I would recommend Vinnies as one of my best dinners out. Service was fantastic and food was delicious!

We love this restaurant, everything is delicious... but what keeps us making an annual pilgrimage.... honeysuckle ice-cream, we keep it marked in our calendar to call and see if it's time yet
