Like stepping back in time. Fresh, hot burger, cheese, onions, pickles, tomatoes, sauce, ketchup. Mmmhhh...Wolfe that down!

Worst takeout experience I’ve ever had. The order was missing tater tots and ranch, and everything else was just tossed loosely into a greasy paper bag with no proper containers. The food wasn’t hot, tasted awful, and made my wife sick to her stomach. We had to cook a second dinner afterward. I spent $40 on what felt like garbage. When I called, the manager refused to refund anything unless I brought the food back, and said he’d only cover the missing items, ignoring that the entire order was inedible. Total waste of money and the most unprofessional handling of a refund I’ve ever seen.

We love eating at Wayback. Though it is a chain, this restaurant is owned and run by a local family.
The burgers are excellent! Fresh meat and cooked after you order them. We love the fries, but we typically split a family portion (split three or four ways) so that we ain't eat too many.
When we split, the military are delicious!
As food as the food is, the service is even better. The staff members are lovely folks, and they always go the extra mile!

Burgers were good and the shake was delicious, restaurant was clean and staff was friendly. Cheese fries could have been better but overall a positive experience.

Update: Don't be fooled into thinking they care based on their canned reply below. I emailed them weeks ago at their request and never heard a thing back.
Super disappointed with our experience. The staff was disinterested at best, bordering on plain rude.
Food was bland and very disappointing. Everywhere we looked it said that they prided themselves on freshness. Our burgers were 100% frozen. Fries were luke warm and pretty bland. Coke was mixed well in the soda machine, so that's a plus.
Will definitely not be back, which is unfortunate because the atmosphere was pretty nice.

Wonderful staff. I purchased the family meal. 2 Classic Double Cheeseburgers, chicken strips, fries and onion rings. For under $36. The burgers were cooked correctly. The chicken was juicy. The fries and onion rings were golden and crisp. I will return

We enjoyed the burgers and fries! The flavors are all there on the Classic burger and the Bourbon burger! Wait times were short and the employees were energetic and polite. The steak and cheese sandwich was a letdown, too much cheese, and not enough meat, onions, or mayo. I recommend you give it a try if you are in the area and need a good burger!

Restaurantji Recommends
Everything about this place was outstanding. The gentleman who took our order (and delivered the food) couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The burger I had (the Carolina burger) was delicious, as were the fries. The only regret is that we didn't have room to try a shake, so we'll have to come back when we're in town again. Absolutely would recommend to others.

I absolutely love wayback burgers. Before my dad passed away, him and I used to go up there a lot for lunch. Kinda hard now with the memories. But they do an amazing job. The owner/manager is a great guy, its been too long and i cant remember his name anymore, but he's very personable. Always remembered me and my dad, John. Always called him by his name. I know its just a burger joint, but thanks for the memories that your establishment created.
