Wolfe & Porter Reviews
Have been wanting to try this little spot! Cool spot inside & out back patio area. Drinks were good! Great customer service too!
Definitely will be back soon!
Last night was the first time I stepped into W&P. As soon as I walked through the door I thought…”what is this place and why haven’t I heard this before?!”. I looked around for my friends on the first level and couldn’t find them, then realized, “wait, there’s a downstairs?”. Walking downstairs it opened up to this cozy, eclectic, 70’s vibe lounge - think Mike Brady (The Brady Bunch) had a hidden bourbon/whiskey bar. The whole place pleasantly sucked me in. This is one of the best bars and music venues in the Triangle area! It has two unique bar areas PLUS a large deck and outdoor seating area. We danced all night last night when Crush was playing!

Wolfe & Porter is a local favorite in Raleigh, known for its great bartender, tasty cocktails, and enjoyable atmosphere. The speakeasy-like Cellar downstairs offers a wonderful experience with a great draft selection and reasonably priced bottles and cans. The slick interior and friendly staff make it a popular spot for a night out.
This bar has set a real high standard for cocktail bars in the area. The unique NC-focused literary theme is evident throughout, from the decor to the checks presented in books from the namesake authors. The renovated space is really impressive, with two distinct floors catering to different moods - the first level has a more relaxed vibe, while the basement level has a cozy, eclectic 70's lounge feel.
The drinks menu features many appealing options, and the bartender, Joshua, is praised for his skill in crafting exceptional cocktails. The lack of TVs creates a more intimate atmosphere, perfect for conversation, though there are pull-down projectors in the basement for events like March Madness. Overall, Wolfe & Porter is Raleigh's premier new bar, offering the perfect setting for any occasion.
