Vegan lentil dish was bland, vegan tofu dish is NOT vegan (we made sure to say no dairy to make sure and the gravy for the tofu dish uses dairy), cauliflower dish was good, and the dish they made with tofu that they altered after we said no dairy was my favorite, unfortunately I’m not sure what it was officially called to be able to order it again but it was a spicy red sauce. Roti is also vegan just need to make sure to specify not to coat it in ghee or butter. Vegetable pakora appetizer was delicious. Updated from previous review on 2025-07-20

This was the best Indian food I have ever experienced! We got the Zayka Dinner for Two, and every dish was top notch. Can't wait to come back again!

I thought to go there but when I see Beef is served in Indian restaurant, I canceled my plan. Will go once they remove beef from the Menu.

The food at this restaurant was okay, and the menu offered some unique and interesting options. However, the overall dining experience was let down by the service. While the staff were friendly and courteous, the service was extremely slow and disorganized.

We waited a long time to receive menus and to have our orders taken. When the food began to arrive, one person at our table wasn’t given a plate or cutlery, and despite asking three times over the span of ten minutes, we eventually had to get up and approach a staff member ourselves to resolve it.

We had ordered both appetizers and main courses with bread, but the main dishes were served first—and without the bread—making it awkward to start eating. The appetizers came afterward, and the bread didn’t arrive until about ten minutes later, after several reminders. By then, our main dishes were starting to go cold. Even at the end of the meal, when we asked for the invoice/ receipt since we were only presented with a total amount to pay, the staff was struggling to generate an itemized receipt for us, which took a while and led to an additional wait- something I found unusual.

With more attentive and timely service, this could have been a much more enjoyable experience

In a city with a plethora of choices for Indian restaurants Zayka is the best. The staff are incredibly friendly and the food is fabulous.

Good food. Service could be better. Felt like being rushed even when 30+ mins for closing.

We ordered the "Tandoori Paneer Tikka Nachos," excited for a creative Indian-Mexican fusion dish with grilled paneer and crispy crackers as described. What arrived was a handful of tortilla chips overwhelmed by paneer tikka masala, with the sauce completely overpowering the chips. Thankfully, we had some leftover naan to make the most of it, but overall, the execution missed the mark. It felt less like fusion and more like a dish caught between two cuisines, unsure of its identity.

It’s a decent restaurant. I had mutton biryani, which was incredibly flavorful. It wasn’t like the usual Indian biryani; there was something special about this cuisine. Vurunika (I may have spelled it incorrectly) gave us the best reception.
