Had my usual ham & cheese omelette with hash browns and toast. The prices are competitive and better than some of the other diners in the area. This restaurant says they specialize in Mexican food, but their breakfasts are on par with American diners. The omelette and hash browns were very good, and served quickly. The ham they used is particularly salty, which surprised me. If you are on a sodium restricted diet, I would avoid this. A pet peev of mine is cutlery. Mis-matched...
I ordered a plate that was on the special menu for that day. Tortilla was cold. Rice is cold. Everything was already made. The only hot stuff that was on there was the cheese that they put on top. I was gonna go for a second tray and asked for the slice of cake that I got was very expensive and it was dry and hard like if it was old but they closed an hour early, which is not right to drivers.
What a great spot! Sat outside and they brought out an umbrella to give us some shade. Huge Arnold Palmer to drink for only like $2.50. Chicken fingers were excellent and the hand cut fries are a must-have. I hope to be back soon to try some of their desserts. Excellent family diner with a throwback feel. And very nice staff!
