Poor customer and community interaction.
Denied a veteran with a trained and registered service dog. When the “owner” was informed of the federal law requiring access due to ADA, he told the staff to sit the party outside in 37 degree weather. One of the party was an 80 year old lady. When questioning the owner about this mistreatment of customers with disabilities, he stated “I know the law and I have to accommodate my customers. They don’t want to eat with a dog around and I’ve seen the WRAL article.”
Driving through the area and found the restaurant on a simple Google maps search. My husband loooves steak. Haggerty’s ended up being a fantastic find, steaks for both of us were done to perfection. Each came with a side salad that was delicious and lots of toppings (my fave). We each ordered cocktails, and loved that too. I wish I paid attention to our servers name.
