A small -- frankly intimate -- dining room. Yes, you can get classic Greek cuisine. But the star of the show is the specials menu. It includes some creative takes on down-home southern comfort food. The employees are friendly and hospitable. They will make certain you're comfortable and are getting what you need when you need it. Make sure to save room for dessert. Lemon cheesecake in lemon curd is every bit as good as it sounds. The chocolate layer cake is spectacular. My only criticism is minor -- They don't have draft beers. They do, however, have a solid selection of local microbrews served in cold pint glasses. I wish they were closer to Raleigh.

Had the gyro and a cup of meatball soup for lunch. The soup was excellent. Our server was very nice though it seemed like she was all alone and could have used a hand. I recommend O Aetos.

Such an amazing experience. The best Whisky Sour, I’ve ever had. The attention to detail was outstanding. Authentic and delicious food with the most incredible wait staff. The day before my service Dog got attacked by a Grey Pit Bull named Bruiser, out by Jack Brown Rd on Lake Gaston. The way they wined and dined us, helped heal our emotional wounds.

O Aetos is a great local sit down restaurant in downtown Roanoke Rapids. The staff was extremely nice and friendly. The food was wonderful. We were in town for business and wanted a nice lunch and O Aetos was a great choice. I'd high recommend it to you.

Don't come here in a rush, but it is worth the wait. The bread was hot, the butter was soft and the meatball soup is smack your momma good.

Visited due to my fiancé loving Greek food, the pastitio and Greek salad were very fresh and delicious. The tzatziki was to die for!! Didn't get a chance to take pictures of the entrees, that's how good they were!!. The staff is extremely informative and they all know their menu and daily specials. Long wine and cocktail list, craft local brews. This place is definitely worth the stop when you're traveling or if you're local make sure to stop by for lunch!! pictures are the Bananas foster and Galaktoboureko desserts. The dessert portions are enough for 2-3 people.

What a delightful treasure we tripped across, while visiting the area!Absolute authentic Greek cuisine, perfectly prepared. We chose an order of dolmadakia, Greek Salad, that was was crispy fresh and dressed to perfection, and served with delicious hard rolls. We shared our entrees of Mousaka and Pastitsio, (which were just like growing up)We couldn’t finish our entrees, but that didn’t stop us from ordering the homemade Galaktoboureko for dessert! The candles and black tablecloth’s were a nice touch and brought our experience up a notch. I should mention that the server and owner were very attentive and fun to meet!

We went looking for vegan food as there aren't very many options in the Double R, that's what we call my hometown of Roanoke Rapids, & I found this restaurant.I am not personally vegan, however, I do try to eat a little vegan-ish when I'm with my friends who are. So I ordered a Caesar salad, my friend Chris had the Doma & Navy Bean Soup, we all had drinks while we waited.Mary Alice cued me to sing, "She is my baaarrrtender. She be making them drinks." ??? I originally ordered a Tom Collins, but they didn't have the recipe for that so, I went with my 2nd trusty favorite, the Long Island Ice Tea.That drink was so good that I literally sucked it down like a regular glass of ice tea. #Delish!! Her mother, the owner, came out to speak with us to apologize for not having the eggplant dish on the menu any longer. As we, Chris & I had both ordered it before choosing the other items. The Navy Beans Soup was fantastic! ??? #Mouthwatering good. The salad was super fresh, crispy, & on point.I highly recommend. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

We love O Aetos!!! Best kept secret in RR!!! Food is delicious! Staff are wonderful! Chef often emerges to engage w guests and assist with recommendations or best ways to partake of their offerings for those of us less familiar w Greek dishes. The atmosphere is unassumingly sophisticated but welcoming to the casual diner. Try it!! You’ll only be sorry you didn’t go sooner!
