Books and Beans was a great spot to get some work done in the morning. Nice lattes, friendly staff, and plenty of tables to spread out at. The shop is located near plenty of other businesses (and some cute common areas) in Rocky Mount Mill, so we enjoyed a little walk around afterward too.

Books and Beans was a pleasant surprise. The customer service, food, and atmosphere was top tier. Pictured is a bacon, egg, cheddar and turkey bacon, egg, and cheddar on Brioche buns. Also pictured is a Chai tea and caramel latte and both were delicious. The gentleman at the counter was funny and knowledgeable. I highly recommend a visit here.

Love the atmosphere. Great place to get some work done. I got one of the new sandwiches (chicken salad with lettuce and tomato on croissant), and I always get an iced Chai. Very good!

Stopped here on my drive back home from Virginia with my baby. Had a black drip coffee and a breakfast sandwich. Everything was excellent including service. I only wish there had been a changing table in the bathroom.

Top tier coffee shop. Counter culture coffee is used. I knew something was pulling me to this coffee shop. Before I walked in it was clearly marked on the front door. 100% profits go to the children of Palestine until Jan 1. That's pretty damn remarkable. Thank you for caring and sharing. The place was immaculate and so well put together in theme that included names on the menu. As a book lover and art student and lover of coffee I could have stayed there all day. They have books for purchase and to share as a library. This further puts Rocky Mount on the map for me. Cannot wait to go back. Oh, and they make their own real cocoa syrup for their mochas. Not popular pump syrups.

Service and atmosphere 4.5-5 star. Nice and friendly employees. We got two sandwiches that were not anywhere as thick- to 1/2 as much meat. Of note the picture is the two halves stacked on each other. The flavor was good but one of them was a little dry.
