“My friend and I stopped by Bright Penny for lunch today while we were visiting Mebane and it did not disappoint! Their pizza options all looked so delicious and there were so many to choose from that I took forever to decide on which one to get! If you enjoy spicy food, I highly recommend the 4-1-2 pizza. It was absolutely amazing! They have all types of beer and a good selection of each type. I am already excited to eat here again!”

“BIG NOPE!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! 1 OUT OF 10. service ok for the large parties that were there.. Crab dip was a cold with a pickel taste. Friend said it was ok. I thought it was gross. I got a lobster roll that tasted like it was sour/spoiled. Mac and cheese wasn't bad. Friend like her wings. Waited an extra 20 mins for the steamed clams. Jackie couldn't eat them, tasted funny. Out of 24 clams 7 were bad. Plus the clams had a weird taste. Hope i don't get sick. I had to give the manger a teaching on clams on how to tell if clams are good or bad. The ear of corn that came with it was mush (way over cooked) i tried the celary that came with friends wings and they tasted soapy. serve was OK. Bill was adjusted for food that was returned still costed to much at $60.”

“I’ve been to Ichiban probably close to if not over 500 times since I was little, things like hibachi right in front of me don’t have the same magic that they did when I was a kid. Tonight, however, was different. We went for my nieces (adopted albeit lol) birthday party and had a party of 15 obviously splitting two cooktops. On our side we had 5 kids 6 and under… that was no problem at all for our cook Eric. He went above and beyond to not only prepare delicious food for the adults but to also make sure every kid was included (each getting to catch their own egg and throw it back). Eric embodied what I believe to be the epitome of a Benihana style chef his evening. Not only making delicious food but also making memories that will make another generation want to come back to Ichiban. I usually only come for the incredible service at the sushi bar but tonight I was reminded of the magic that can come from a flat top with a charismatic chef behind it.”

Gwendolyn remembered us from trip in May and took such good care of us in Bistro. It is so nice to be able to relax and eat at hotel after a long drive. We will definitely be back again.”

You could eat the grits as they came from the kitchen (well you know I added pepper but that is me)! They were buttery & delicious & not the consistency of wallpaper paste like most restaurants serve! I was totally impressed with the food but I have to mention the staff too! Everyone was so friendly & helpful! When our waitress was busy another one saw our coffee cups were only half full & she topped us off! Yep our coffee cups NEVER got empty~~not once! Thank you! While traveling from Raleigh to Elizabeth City, we found your restaurant on Google and decided to make a 16-mile detour. It was the best decision we could have made.

We thoroughly enjoyed the sweet potato, beef and cheese, chicken and cheese, beef, jerk shrimp, and oxtail patties. The vegetable soup was light, creamy, and paired perfectly with our meal patties. The pineapple ginger juice was refreshing and an excellent mixer with gin over ice.

Thank you for the wonderful food and service. I hope to return soon to try your oxtail plates.”

“This was by far the best service I’ve had in any restaurant in a very very long time. We were greeted by a very nice man at the entry who was clearing tables and sat us right away. Quentin was our server and he was just awesome. Friendly, polite, fast, and clearly dedicated to providing a first class experience. My family and I had a rough night yesterday and all we wanted this morning was Waffle House to make it all better. And they did! We highly recommend this location and if you go, ask for Quentin!”

“I am very disappointed in writing this negative review. We normally love El Jimador and always eat here for date night or family dinners out. On Saturday 2/17 at 12pm I spoke to someone at the restaurant to reserve a table for 4pm that day for a party of 13. It was confirmed by the employee no problem. The party arrived at 4pm and apparently the young lady wrote the reservation for the wrong date. We were told our table would be ready shortly. Twenty minutes later I went and asked again and the rude girl said "I told the other lady it would be ready in ten minutes". She didn't say that. She then proceeded to stare at me rudely through the glass doors. A man said the customers at the only area for big parties was finishing up and he couldn't make them leave. Finally at 4:45 we were seated. Six members of the party received their food within a decent time. The child's food finally came towards the end (a cheese quesadilla and fries). A simple meal for a child should always come out first. We had one kid eating and two waiting. When we were all done eating and after asking several times the last two party members finally received their food. Then someone decided to give our waitress for a table of 13 another table of about 20 people so we didn't see her for awhile because she was so busy. She did great, considering. We never received an official apology. This was a terrible experience for our out of town guests. Update: manager reached out to me via pm. Very apologetic and would like to make things right. Thank you!”

The lighting was very dim for the eating area and I had to wait an additional 15 minutes before anyone showed up to speak with me. An additional 5 minutes later, my order was ready. I will say the food was fresh, hot, and delicious. I just wouldn't want to eat in due to the lighting. I would also allow an additional 15 min to the time the food is supposed to be ready.”

As a native New Jerseyan it is near impossible to find the classics from the metro area down south, but this place nails it. Taylor ham, egg & cheese on a hard roll with salt, pepper, ketchup. She knew how we wanted it before we had to ask! You can’t beat that. Excellent people producing quality food. Highly recommended!”

The service he provides is on point and the drinks are superb. He has to dual roles at times bc they can be short on staff. But this does not hinder the service that is provided. So I give Chicos a thumbs up. Stop by for a House margaritas. It's my favorite.”

“To be honest the nicest drive through pickup experience. It’s little things. Being from north east littlest thing southern folks do makes me happy as I’m not used to it. I happened to ask some extra packs of hot sauce, the lady at the window happily handed me a handful of them. Never had that happened in my life.

Maybe their app goes through corporate and the physical location doesn't have any control over it but there is ALWAYS a problem when dealing with this location! Here's the latest episode - I ordered $41" worth" of food for my wife to pick up after work last night. When I tried the submit the order, it said that something went wrong and to try again so I did, 3 more times. It never went through except to my bank account! 4 TIMES!!! They took $160 out of my account and we still didn't get the food!!! Now I'm still waiting for them to refund my money smh! My pregnant wife went by there last night to talk to the "manager" but they were totally helpless! We were forced to eat frozen mozzarella sticks and frozen jalapeño poppers for supper, seeing as zaxby's basically robbed me. I WILL NEVER EAT ZAXBYS AGAIN!!!!!!!”

“This location really needs to improve. I’m so over using the pandemic and staff availability as an excuse. I understand Rocky Mount doesn’t need to loose any more businesses but the people in this area deserve better. I have been a long time Panera customer around the country but this one here can’t seem to keep up with the menu items. They are famous for shutting the doors and only allow drive through service. Look out, goodness only knows what you will get in your cup or bag. I mean honestly a coffee shop who can’t keep up with making fresh coffee.”
