Absolutely love this place. We stopped in on our way to the Outer Banks and loved the food so much that we hit it again on the way home. Absolutely worth the little extra detour from Highway 64. Flaky, buttery, tender pastry with ample flavorful filling. We tried the ox tail, jerk shrimp, chicken & cheese, beef & cheese, veggie, and sweet potato patties, and the slaw. Kafe Louverture is absolutely fantastic! We had the jerk shrimp (10/10), chicken and cheese(10/10) and a herring Pattie (9/10 just slightly salty but if you like smoked herring you would rate 10/10). The juices are phenomenal as well. Definitely will be coming back!
