“Absolutely love this place. We stopped in on our way to the Outer Banks and loved the food so much that we hit it again on the way home. Absolutely worth the little extra detour from Highway 64. Flaky, buttery, tender pastry with ample flavorful filling. We tried the ox tail, jerk shrimp, chicken & cheese, beef & cheese, veggie, and sweet potato patties, and the slaw. The tangy slaw with a little bit of hot spice makes a great accompaniment to the savory patties. I have a very low tolerance for hot spice. The patties we tried were not hot at all, the slaw has some hot spice, but I had no problem eating it. My favorites were the jerk shrimp, veggie, and beef & cheese. The sweet potato is also great, but it's more of a dessert. The patties are a really nice size for a lunch meal and priced very reasonably.

The service was also wonderful. The young lady working the counter both days we went was very friendly and helpful. The second time, we called ahead to make sure they would have all the flavors we wanted to try. On our first visit, we arrived a bit later in the day and some of the flavors were already sold out. If you call ahead, they can usually make any flavors they may have sold out of.

The storefront is very cute and clean (100.00 health grade). It is take out only, there isn't anywhere to eat inside. We found the patties very easy to eat in the car.

With the variety of flavors, there is something for everyone. I hope they're still there next time we go to the Outer Banks.“
