“This little place is almost about the halfway point between Richmond VA and Sunset Beach NC. We have been stopping there for years both ways. The food is simple but absolutely delicious. Nice touch with the malt vinegar on the tables for fries. If you are passing through it is a must-try and you may become a regular as we have.”
“I went to Something Different with 2 friends today, my first time coming here. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. If you like a restaurant with loud, blaring music and too much noise and crowded with loud people, this is not the place for you. The food was outstanding. The pricing is on par with other places, unless you are wanting to pay McDonald’s prices. The tables had white table cloths, the people were so nice, and it was QUIET!!!! The music was soft, not loud, etc. I had the chicken salad sandwich, and it was perfect. Needless to say, I will definitely be back!!”
“The people (employees) were pleasant, patient with my first time there, and just overall happy to be there. The portions were on point, especially protein (double meat is really double meat), and the toppings were fresh and high quality. The price while similar to other establishments felt like a deal with said portions.”

“I love supporting restaurants that have survived so long. The food and service were good and I was so pleased to see their sanitation score was 99... the place looked very clean. Will definitely return when I'm in the area!”

“We have to give credit where credit is due! I left a very bad review for the location on Ward Blvd yesterday. That was after numerous bad visits and yesterday’s disrespect won’t allow me to return there! However, this location on Tarboro Street has always been top-notch. Just today we received our food Fast, Hot, and the cashier was extremely nice. Thank you, Tarboro Street!! We will continue to return to this location!!”
“All I read is bad reviews here but you do not see none of the good reviews. The workers do the best they can. There are so many customers that come with an attitude and they wonder why the workers get upset. There is this one girl who is GREAT!!! She has daily customers foods memorized. She always has a great attitude. She is always patient and multi-tasks great! This is the best Mcdonald's in Wilson”
Takeout Restaurants
“We decided to give it a try because it was across the street from the railroad station. The food was fabulous. We had Oxtail soup and Chicken Curry made fresh for us. Everything was fresh and so tasty. It’s very casual and the food was delicious. The workers were friendly and informative about their menu.”

“The lady at register was not a people person an seem to have a attitude because I asked her a question. She was not very friendly at all. I still told her thank u an was just asking question to know something. She still had attitude. she doesn't need be at a counter. The young man who wiped my table off was extremely nice an asked if I needed anything an told me thank you have a nice lunch. He should be at the counter. My 14 old grandson was with me when we sat down he said Nana she has bad attitude about me asking question. The hamburger bun on top was hot but the bottom part was cold. It had not been warmed at all.The fries were great. Cheese burger was good except the cold bun at the bottom . But I wasn't bout go back an tell her with her attitude. I had heard so much how good Culver's was from my son an His family who go some. I am Very dissapointed with the service today an part of food. Hopefully they improve service at counter. I don't usually say lot about service are food unless it isn't good . I may Try it again an see if next time is better. Maybe lady had bad hair day lol .”
“Just tried Ray's for lunch today while visiting Wilson...let me tell ya, hands down delicious food. The meatloaf was amazing and those mashed potatoes and gravy hit the spot. Coleslaw was perfect. Great hidden gem in this town. service was fast and super friendly. can't wait to go back. Keep up the good work. Very cheap prices and very large portions.”

“Had my first experience with Nards this morning at the Wilson farmer market. The sign said ribeye sandwich… I said I’ll have one of those please with peppers and onions. Little did I know I was going to get a FULL ribeye on garlic toast. THE BEST SANDWICH IVE PUT IN MY MOUTH IN A LONG TIME. Can’t wait to go back next weekend.”
“Im from NY, This Is good NY style pizza. They sell slices. Nice crust”

“Lunch here is always great and I can't wait to try breakfast but dinner is a whole different story. We have been a couple times for supper and every time we wait an hour or more for our food on top of not getting what we actually ordered. Unfortunately tonight was no different. Highly recommend for lunch though!”
“One of the reasons I miss wilson is Italian Pizza and Subs. Their Stromboli was formative to my youth and helped me become the person I am today. They have been there for me through troubled times and I have a great respect for the folks who work there. When I was a child, it was always a treat to be able to get a family sized Stromboli from here and watch a movie we could pick up from the blockbuster over by Vinson Bynum. It's a living memory to me now. I love not only the food, but what thus restaurant represents to me.”
“First time going there today, and food was good. Staff was good. Prices was a little high, but if I'm ever in Wilson again I will be going back!!”
“For my first visit, I was taking the mahjong beginner’s class which was a lot of fun! I enjoyed my cherry tart cider and the overall vibes. Lots of events, food trucks, and good drinks available during the week and weekend. Good seating inside and out.
I know a lot of people do get excited about the dog (as well as bringing their dogs) but not everyone is as comfortable around animals so keep that in mind.
Will be back!”
“I love Parker’s but I have one suggestion, when you order take out, they put the slaw, potatoes and stew in the plate loose, and it runs together…and the slaw is warm, Greenville Parker’s put the sides in individual containers to keep it from running together..”
“We are pretty much weekly customers. Food is fantastic no matter what is ordered. Taco Tuesday is outstanding. Finally, someone knows how to cook sea scallops. Angie has made this a must stop for all the foodies in the area. Definite 5 of 5 for me.”
“Always enjoy our time at Ice and Fuel…!!! Great owners and great bartenders along with patrons!!!😊😊😊”

“I wanted to give a special thanks to Alice!! She went above and beyond when I needed a simple request. Customer service is important, and it is so hard to find people that genuinely love what they do! Alice thank you for your kindness, and for providing outstanding customer service!!! Thank you so much!!!”

“The Wilson, NC store is so close to perfection from a food standpoint. Delicious fried chicken, fries (although a bit too salty) and biscuits.
Focus is needed on customer service at the register. Took three tries to input the order correctly. A smile goes a long way.
Be thankful you have a job and do the best you can at your job.”

“Update: i made it back to the area and had to stop. Just as delicious as before and the same friendly service. I love their lemonade and sweet tea. I made an Arnold Palmer. Previous: It is truly a gem in Wilson. Buffet only. Smallish in size but definitely enough choices and tastiest to keep you coming back. On the day I visited this is what I had. The vegetables were country seasoned. Green beans, potatoes, butterbeans, cabbage, and yams were tender but not mushy. The cream potatoes were smooth and not runny. It held the gravy from the hamburger steak. The mac and cheese was great with more cheese baked on top. The rice was xooked perfectly. The slaw was simple but very good. I would.want that slaw to go for some bbq sandwiches. They had pork chops, hamburger steaks so tender, chicken pastry, and different kinds of chicken (bbq, fried, baked). All were tender and and juicy. I think they had fish too but I was unsure. Desserts included warm banana pudding and peach cobbler, fresh cookies, and an oreo and ice cream dish. They only have tea or lemonade to drink and your drink is included in the price. Service was great. Everyone smiled and greeted you. The restaurant has that southern small town feel.”
“The food was amazing! Atmosphere CLEAN! Service friendly and prompt! Definitely a hidden gem of Wilson, NC… Will be back!”
