I love Goat Island. I have lived in Richmond VA for almost 20 years and we have a million wonderful breweries and bottle shops and the like, but I love having this bottle shop to visit when I'm on my way to visit family in Tarboro. I always stop in and get a beer and some to take with me that I can't find where I live. They are always so friendly and helpful and I have met so many great people in there. The whole Mill area is just a nice place to have in Rocky Mount.
Not bad for a bottle shop in Rocky Mount! They have a nice selection of cans available from decent breweries. I bought 4 beers to take home.They had 15 or so drafts on tap, again from some good breweries. The employee behind the counter wasn't super engaging, but given the selection I'd go back.

Nice variety of beer on tap. Jamie, our bartender, could not have been nicer. Gentleman selling Haitian patties, did not get the chance to try. But did visit his store the next morning. His patties or not to be missed.
