El Jimador Authentic Mexican Restaurant

This was the best Mexican food I've had in my life it was rich you need no seasoning I was swept off my feet until 3/18/2025 my whole order was wrong and I was over charged for the small portions and my sweet tea had nothing sweet in it. I got cheese dip with no chips which vine automatically with meals. my whole lunch was ruined and when I called no concern about my dissatisfaction

The food was good, but the size of my taco salad was very disappointing especially for $15. My wife had the fajita burrito with queso on top - it was delicious, but again not really sure if it was $22 delicious. Finally, we also got a side of nachos and queso for $12 and it was also a slight disappointment in size and price paid. I picked up my order for take out and did not eat in the restaurant - the people at the pick up window were very nice and professional. Based on how they treated me at the window I would suspect that their wait staff are also just as professional.

The staff at the bar is managed by some lady related to owners and several people her complained about her attitude , she denied us service just because she felt like it after being there coule hours but not bothering anybody , if there is a rule about it they should post it somewhere but she made that decision by herself , if we drink as long as we don't misbehave and don't bother anybody they don't have the right to preach us , IS A BAR FOR THE LOVE KF GOD what do they expect , they feel like they are on the top and maybe so , but there will be more professionalism if somebody not related to owners runs the place because the little feeling of power in wrong hands is noticable , I am done going there

I recently visited El Jimador and was disappointed by the service. After spending two hours enjoying drinks at the bar, the staff asked us to leave and even canceled further service. I understand that it’s a restaurant, but we were at the bar, having a good time, catching up with friends.

This kind of service feels unwelcoming, especially at a Mexican restaurant, where socializing and spending time together is a big part of the culture. A great dining experience isn’t just about food and drinks—it’s about hospitality, and unfortunately, that was lacking here.

I hope the management reconsiders this policy to create a more inviting atmosphere for guests who want to relax and enjoy their time.

Food was good and we enjoyed it.
My partner and I got a combination, burrito, taco, rice, beans and both ordered horchatas. I ordered sweet tea at first but opted out because it tasted like plain water. My partner ordered no red sauce on their burrito but I think the waitress misheard and both our plates came out with no lettuce, no sour cream, no tomatoes. I do not know if that's normal or you have to pay extra for those sides but I let it slide. I cannot justify spending over 55$ for 2 people when we ordered the cheapest thing on the menu. If you go to Raleigh there's one of these on every block and two people can eat for 35$. Overall, good food but I won't be going back because of those prices.

The prompt attention to my issue was awesome. The food and atmosphere is great! I had an issue come up with a server and the manager handled the situation and made everything better! Very prompt investigation and solution.

Food was ok, was kinda aggravated bc there where 3 women behind the bar i was sitting at talking and laughing. Yet, it took 10 min to get a menu. El Tapio is my favorite in this town. Food was good but a little high.

We have eaten here many times, enjoy the atmosphere and service. Food is inconsistent. Today's dishes were way too salty. The lady came by and asked how it was and said next time I should have chicken not beef. How about leaving it up to the taster how salty their meal should be?

Order the street tacos (carnitas) couldn't eat them. The carnita was burned and greasy. The rice tasted like it was microwaved.

The drinks tasted good and nice presentation.
