The service was fine and nice, and I don’t leave a lot of reviews but this was a disservice to “Jamaican food”. There was no type of seasoning on anything I got. The cabbage seemed just boiled with no taste. The Mac and cheese seemed like it came out of a store bought container heated up, and the collards were again flavorless and bland. Nothing even had a pinch of salt. The meat was okay at best. Very disappointed in this food.

Portions are large and food is good. It’s a unique setup with a full bar dance floor Dj and pool table.

Just came here for lunch. Service was friendly. Food was ready quickly.

Curry goat with rice n beans was exceptional, meat was cooked to perfection. Would have been a little better if there were few more pieces of goat meat for that price, other than that must try.

Food is always fresh. Service is great, and atmosphere is really nice. Quick service! Would highly recommend if you are a fan if Jamaican cuisines.

I was in Rocky Mount this weekend for the Down East Classic. We found this restaurant online after the game, and decided to give it a try. When we called we were greeted by a young lady named Jaz✌🏾. She was soooo nice. Because this was our first time eating there, we had a few questions about the menu. She was patient, polite, and very knowledgeable of their products.
After ordering, we proceeded to drive to the restaurant. We could hear the music as we approached the entrance. It was such a great atmosphere. As we entered we were greeted again with a smile and hello from the ladies at the front…one of them being Jaz. The customer service was top tier.
We paid, left, and proceeded back to our hotel to enjoy our food.
Guava Island did NOT disappoint. My oxtails were AMAZING. Not to mention, I got so much food. It was as worth every dime. Keep up the great work team. I will definitely be returning the next time I’m in the Rocky Mount Area!

The service was terrible. I had complaints.about the food and the owner never came over to assist. I even took pictures of the food.
