Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes & Fries

Went to eat dinner last night and was the only customer in the restaurant and was given a menu then the waitress never came back. Waited 15 minutes and saw her cleaning and never came over to take a drink or meal order.

I love HWY 55 but not this one, they have the worst food. Hard cheese on my cheesesteak, then they put ketchup on it. These people are lazy and need a new manager to get things in order. One bite and threw it in the trash, $40 wasted.

Apparently I ticked the staff off by saying “I have a pick up order” and asking for what I paid for. My bad!

I walked in and politely said I needed to pick up and order. Girl had an attitude…ummm okay. I was standing under the sign for picking up orders and my order was further down on the counter. The employee apparently didn’t want to move and she just pointed to it and crossed her arms. Alrighty then. I had gotten a kids meal which comes with either a car or a custard. I asked for the car and she mumbled (you couldn’t understand ANYTHING she said) they don’t have them. So I said okay no problem, can I get the custard then. THAT ticked her off and the manager too apparently. The manager whipped around and with an attitude said “it’s only ONE scoop!”, rolled her eyes and cocked her head. I don’t care if it’s a spoonful. If I paid for it, give it to me!

I had a tip in my pocket to give them but you beat believe that they didn’t get it.

The food was okay. Portions were MUCH smaller than usual and the chicken tenders were cooked in Hell apparently (dry and hard).

Go to the one in Tarboro if you can.

Stopped to get cheese steak. service was fast and friendly. the food was perfect hot and fresh . Would love to give a five star but paper towels where running over in the bathroom. Other than that it was perfect

I dined in on 3/15 and I should’ve walked out immediately. I stood for a minute waiting on the workers to finish laughing before asking how could they help, finally they tell me to pick my own seat but make sure I sit in the back of a empty restaurant. After I order my food I was received my burger with no fries, waited 5 minutes for fries to cook while my burger is in front of me. No one had on a hairnet but everyone had a head full of hair, I thought hairnets would be required in this setting but silly me. Customer service was very poor, no refills offered, order was wrong after I confirmed it twice. This visit was a joke for sure.

First off they give me the wrong food and the fries show won't Highway Diner fries but the customer service was great

Best burger!! The kids meal burger was so thick and the basket was overflowing with fries. I could not even finish it. You have to try this!

Unsupervised youths. Not listening unable to get orders complete. No manager available, cashier couldn't give refund, just an pitiful place of business.

That is a sad excuse of a manager to leave her worker alone to get a tire done....no wonder the waitress was overwhelmed there was too many ppl for one person to handle. But about an hour later come to find out there is another person the cook sitting and having a break and didn't wasn't even going to wash his hands until a customer called him out. The manager kept calling the waitress via face time what you calling for? The girl couldn't even do her job for you.

This was the best food I have had in YEARS! The people were VERY nice and the style of the restaurant was very nice, too. The fried pickles are amazing
