We decided to try K&W again after 2 years of not going after several bad experiences with cold food or poor service. We arrived at 5:30pm on Saturday March 23rd. That’s right at dinner time. We noticed only 5 cars in the parking lot but we decided to go in and try anyway. There were very few people in the dinning area. Maybe 6 tables at the most. I ordered the cube steak w/gravy and rice. It was luke warm and extremely salty. I had to scrape the gravy off, it was so salty. The only bread available was cornbread. No rolls. There was only one biscuit in the warmer. The lady asked my fiance “you sure you want this, it’s hard as a rock?” She then took the biscuit and tapped it on top of the warmer until it cracked open. Of course he said no thanks. Only 3 desserts to choose from at the time. German chocolate pie, egg custard and strawberry shortcake. No chocolate cream pie. My fiancé ordered spaghetti. It had been sitting in the warmer for awhile. The cheese on top was pure rubbery. He had to pull the cheese off. I had coffee to drink. The gentleman brought me coffee in a large styrofoam cup. I couldn’t believe it. Who goes out to eat in a family restaurant and have coffee served to them in a Styrofoam cup? I hate that!!!!! I can understand if it were a fast food restaurant. I was expecting a coffee cup. Of course that was no coffee cups at the cash register. The cashier told me the dinning room attendant would bring my coffee. I thought that was nice but I was not expecting a styrofoam cup. Anyway I guess we’ll wait another two years and try again. That is if they’re still open.!!!!

Me question is: is this a hospital? The food was disgusting! I had to put ten or more times salt to the fried chicken! Zero flavors, zero tasty!, on top of that the food was cold! Everything was a horrible experience, pls make a favor to yourself and don’t come here, because I spent 30usd for nothing! A fried chicken tasteless lol horrible

Busy place to go on Sunday some of the food items they serve not so good. Macaroni and cheese is one of them. Should have remembered it from last time I was thereThis visit they were a bit short staffed so it took a bit of time getting through the line. Overall everyone I talked with was friendly
Vegetarian options: If you are looking for vegetarian options they do have a vegetable plate. I would not recommend this place though if you're looking for strictly vegetarian
Parking: The handicap parking spots are on the side of the building

This was our first time at this K&W location. The employees here are very cordial and courteous. Our dissatisfaction lies in the food itself. The fried chicken, though crispy, was bland. They were also out of chocolate cream pie during our visit. That is a K&W staple we were looking forward to having. Our other food choices were good, but felt we spent more than our meal was worth. Lots of people were frequenting the restaurant. It seems a popular choice for the after church and weekend lunch crowd. I wish this restaurant the best. The K&W's where I live have all closed.

I usually love going to K&W. But I was very disappointed at this location. We arrived around 5:00 pm/ 5:30 pm. The appearance of the food was not appetizing: the salad had brown areas on it, the hamburger steak, spaghetti, and pies looked air dried. I picked the country styled steak because I saw it coming out fresh from the kitchen. My husband had two pieces of liver, and he said it had its familiar taste of what liver is supposed to taste like.

My neighbor that's elderly and has slight dementia wanted to go here to eat because she hadn't been in years. It wasn't busy and the food options were great but the two servers acted just like old school cafeteria workers... Moody and very impatient. There was nobody behind us and my neighbor was looking at the options to see exactly what she wanted and went down the back to see all the food and that seemed to irritate the two workers which is ridiculous because even myself I wanted to see so I could put food together that would go together. The cashier and waiter was very nice and the food was good but the cost (thanks to Biden & Harris) and the set up I myself definitely wouldn't return unless my neighbor wants to.

When I was growing up, a trip to K&W was a special treat. Nearly 40 years later and I go for the nostalgia. Going the way of the dinosaur, the cafeterias and me too. I only visit K&W when I'm on the road, so it's always in a different town. What I see is common threads across all the units I visit. This most recent visit offered less nostalgia and more sadness over the slow years-long decline. It's really too bad. Main points: lukewarm food, persistent flies buzzing around. Staff was courteous, but the place seemed understaffed. A smattering of customers around on a Saturday night.
