Cool little spot. The coffee tasted really good, and they have unique flavors. They only have one machine so it can take some time to have them made. We would definitely go back.

Can’t say enough good things about this location! Very clean, great food and drinks. They have a neat little antique vault for their beer offerings. My wife and I can’t wait to go back!

Delicious food! All kinds of tea and coffees. Homemade bread used on the club sandwich and cucumber salad side crisp and tangy.

The atmosphere is alright. The people working there are very pretentious and rude, we ordered a iced hot chocolate online, it was flavorless. The online menu did not mention they served it unsweetened. We are not regulars here so we did not know. We went back inside to get it sweetened and they talked to us like we were stupid for not knowing. Even though we were apologetic and as nice as possible we just wanted it to be sweetened and then we would be good. “It’s not that its not good its just that you ordered something you don’t like” that was very unnecessary. I am definitely not coming here ever again. NABS is the way to go the people there are friendly and the food/beverages are great! And yes this did exactly happen…

The service and the people are amazing! The atmosphere is wonderful if you just want to work from there for the day. And chill and enjoy a chia and a book.

We had to move to Roanoke Rapids in June '23 from the Pacific Northwest, and this is the closest, absolute best latte in the world to our house now. Worth the 40-minute drive.Thank you SO MUCH!!!(Just make sure to say "no flavor" when you order your latte to avoid any confusion. LOL)

I was excited to try the avocado toast, since fast food is about the only option in Rocky Mount. Unfortunately, I was told the kitchen wasn't open, despite being about 20 minutes after opening. Could've been my new breakfast spot. Oh well ?‍♂️

Be aware that there may be an admission fee listed on the door at various times. According to the owners, this doesn't apply to pick up and to go orders.

Kevin has done an awesome job with this place! Larema is a staple in downtown Rocky Mount and has proven itself worthy of taking the place of big box coffee houses like Starbucks. I say that because I literally stop going to the Starbucks in Rocky Mount because of the angusof their coffees and special drinks because every time I come here my coffee always taste the same. If you want great coffee and an awesome atmosphere come here! You will not regret it!

Larema has a cool vibe, and the staff is super friendly. Their lattes are top-notch, striking that perfect balance between coffee and syrup. I used to be indifferent about croissants until I tried Larema’s – warm, homemade, and downright amazing. Now, here’s the thing – the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich didn’t quite live up to the hype. The bacon was way too thin and felt like it came out of a microwave. Plus, the cheese was a bit too greasy. Honestly, it left me wanting more flavor.Still, with killer lattes and the best croissants in town, Larema’s a solid 4 in my book.

My partner and I discovered Larema Coffee House while visiting my brother in Elm City. We fell in love with everything about it ... the eclectic and pleasing decor, the spaciousness, its historic setting, the friendly and engaging service (hats off to Ebony, Kam, Lydia, and especially Karo), the pleasant and friendly owner Kevin, and, of course, the extraordinary coffees and food. The flavored lattes are the best we've ever had anywhere (featuring homemade syrups), the scrumptious compose-your-own breakfast sandwiches served on homemade croissants or buns, etc. We loved it so much that we went 3 times over our 10 day stay. Our only regret is that there isn't a Larema in our own town. We'd surely be regulars. Such an amazing place in all respects!

I (Barney Goldstein) left a glowing 5 star review 3 weeks ago. I returned today and had a very different experience. I wasn't able to leave a new review on my phone so I'm using my partner's phone to do so. I was joined today by my brother and niece, neither of whom had ever been here even though my brother is local. I had raved about it and was excited about sharing it with them. What a disappointment. I first ordered a medium drip coffee with one shot of housemade hazelnut syrup. The counterperson rang me up for $5.62. I was surprised, explaining that I had only ordered a medium drip coffee (2.75), plus a shot ($1). She said it had to be ordered as a "Red Eye", which has expresso in it. I never asked for expresso, just drip coffee, but decided not to argue with her so I reluctantly paid the $5.62. In hindsight, I should have been more insistent. When the "Red Eye" arrived, it wasn't even hot. It was lukewarm. By that time, my family arrived so I decided not to complain. I wish I had as it wasn't at all appealing. We then ordered food. I had had a breakfast sandwich twice before (once on a bun; once on a croissant) and absolutely loved them. I ordered another one (on the bun, not a croissant, this time). When it arrived, it was on a croissant. I said I had ordered it on a bun. The server said we have no buns, only croissants (despite what the menu noted). She didn't even mention this when it was ordered. Compared to the last breakfast sandwich I had ordered (in a croissant), this one was like a pale imitation. The croissant was very small, compared to the last one, and the fillings were very skimpy and thin. The last one had been chock full of the same ingredients and was scrumptous. Such a letdown. My niece ordered a certain wrap that was supposed to include microgreens and avocado. It contained neither but she said it was good regardless. My brother enjoyed his southwest salad. All in all, it was so disappointing on almost every level that I doubt I'll return. Talk about a fall from grace. I still loved the interior at least. I missed seeing Karo. Hi Karo!
