Our stop at LouReda's was very nice. We were glad that our experience met our expectations. The food and service were very good. Enjoyed the unique food choices. Would definitely stop here again.

We were greeted warmly and seated right away. The restaurant has an Open and modern atmosphere. Fried Pickles appetizer was good. I had Grouper cakes and my husband had Salmon. Both were excellent! International cuisine with a fabulous flair. We were not disappointed! Food, atmosphere, service were all impeccable. I highly recommend!

Guess I hit an off nite, hostess said kitchen was backed up, long wait to be seated, drinks and for food. My wife’s burger was good or so she said. After the wait it probably helped. I had the flounder sandwich fried with Cole slaw for a side, generally slaw and tartar sauce are staples with a fish sandwich, I substituted the fries for the slaw. Specifically asked for tartar sauce when I ordered didn’t come with the meal. Took the fish out of the bun, not hot and by the time I got the tartar sauce it was room temp. I think the fish was frozen and fried with no batter. I was hungry so I ate it and hoped for the best. Like I said maybe an off night in the kitchen but I won’t return. I think I would have been happier with the Pizza Hut next door! I’m not picky just would like my food hot and as I ordered, failed on both. Also very noisy, could use some audio drapes to soften the sounds.

My family group had an excellent meal and service at Lou Reda’s. Our server stated that the ribs and brisket and lasagne are most ordered. The ribs were so tender the meat just fell off the bones. The calamari/shrimp appetizer was large and very good. The bread pudding with ice cream was very good but I must admit I missed having raisins in it. We will be back to try other menu items next time we’re in the area.

Great place to eat. Staff are very accommodating and very helpful. We need Gluten free options. If you are coming from, or going to the beach, stop here and stretch your legs.

Well I have to say they have wonderful service. I have been there 3 times and my experience was good. The first time I had their pork chop which was great. The second and third time I had their brisket and lamb they were neither brisket nor lamb. The brisket had the flavor but the meat was a type of beef roast not brisket and the lamb was the same. I cook both and I know the texture of their meat and taste. I know for a fact theirs were neither brisket or lamb.

The food was just average. Service was good. Just a step up from Applebee's or Texas Road House.
Over priced for the quality of food.

Will take your hard earned money and give you what they want or the two burgers and a chicken sandwich. All plain all came with onions and other toppings for $60

Don’t order the eggs Benedict if you’re hungry. It consisted of 2 tiny poached eggs over an equally tiny biscuit. No side. Service was very slow. Overall meh.

LouReda's....it is the place you might pass by anytime you are in Rocky Mount. It is a small place as you find a place to go. But stop and step inside and it is bigger than you imagine. It is not fancy, but once you try something it is different. This is American Cooking but with a style that is special. See what awaits. When we went in I had worked up at the Rocky Point Markets for furniture both in the spring and the fall of each year. It was always filled with folks from everywhere to shop, and see and buy for the next season. There were plenty of places to have lunch. But when dinner came it was special. The local style of cooking was different. It might have the same meal as you would find in another region, but here it was different as it is based on the cook / chef. Tonight we stopped in and the person helping us was very special. She told us of what was available and what was not. She gave the details and let us order. First we had to have an Arnold Palmer. Naturally, it was different than the person down the block. This was not sweet as usually. It was an equal mike and perfect to have. It gave us something to think about. First up was the Mac & Cheese. But unlike normal Mac & Cheese, with this we ordered shrimp. Not what you expect, this was unique. The Mac & Cheese was a combination of fresh pasta and mixed with four different types of cheese. It was mixed together with a cream and butter. It was not a firm mix but a mix that was moist and tasty with each bit you took. That alone was a meal unto itself. Being mixed with shrimp was different. The shrimp where not small. They were a good size. And there was almost a dozen mixed in. They were not placed onto. Being mixed in they aded to the flavor and taste. There was no spices. Just fresh shrimp with pasta and a cheese mix. A dip of bread helped to take it all in. Next we did have Baby Back Ribs. These were very fresh and tasty. Cooked to the right point hthey literally fell off the bone itself with the touch of a fork. The taste was slightly mixed with honey. Sweet but spicy. Naturally had to have some home made coleslaw with this. Plus an order of sweet potato fries. And these were fresh. Alone with a drink these would have been a good snack to have together. I could have had another plate of these alone. The two dishes were perfect. Yet, we did need to have dessert when the couple at the next table ordered it and shared it. This was Bread Pudding, topped with vanilla ice cream and served with Bourbon sauce. This was heaven itself. You did not need more. There people could have shared this one item. Again, it was freshly made and warm. Ideal. The ice cream was made that morning. And, as for the bourbon, you could have had a glass of this. Spread over the bread pudding it was how we sometime drink an Irish Coffee. Had to have that taste with each bite. Overall, this was a special place to for a meal. It was truly unique for the region and for the chef. The team was a great help. The price was great. As for the people who were there, it was packed. Many came from the places where they are creating the new furniture and items that will be on display for the next market in Rocky Point for next spring. They knew where the place is and what to order. It is truly the right spot for a good meal. It is worth the visit next time I am in town.

Wonderful meal (from award winning chefs) and good service, always good to support the non-franchised establishments. This is the meatloaf entree.
