NABS Deli and Coffee Shop

First time visiting this establishment and I came away with some mixed feelings. When you walk through the door you're met with a "seat yourself" sign but not sure if there's table side ordering or if you go to the kitchen counter and order? There should be brief instructions on where to go etc. to order. The Rueben sandwich is excellent and a winner, The Caprese sandwich was flat and flavorless and in need of a balsamic glaze to elevate it to another level. The slaw was tasty and two sandwiches and slaw were $20 dollars and were worth it.The girls at the counter where you order food were pleasant, efficient and smiling. The decor and background music were pleasant, and the restaurant was very clean around lunch time. I went to the coffee bar side of the restaurant and purchase some fresh ground coffee and two pumpkin muffins. I was helped by the female owner who was surprisingly aloof and snooty and couldn't be bothered to tell you the origin or roast of the beans that you were buying. (I assume it was Ethiopian dark roast?) Coffee is $1.00 per oz so a pound is $16.00 and is very good the muffins were $6.50 each and meh, nothing memorable about them. Dunkin doughnuts have a much better pumpkin muffin for $ 2.50
1 lb. of coffee and 2 muffins came to $30 dollars! I'll pass on the way overpriced dry muffins next time, but the overall experience was positive save for the owner's aloof and slovenly attitude towards customers.

This place was absolutely adorable and so incredibly welcoming. We went for breakfast which was so affordable and delicious. Literally the best cup of coffee I've ever had and then we went back for lunch to eat some of their delicious sandwiches. Complete hallmark fall vibes 🍂

Great sandwich’s and amazing cherry pie. A must try when you’re out and about in Rocky Mount!

This is not my first time in. I like to make sure the review I post is authentic and thought out. The coffee drinks have never disappointed. I’ve tried several and plain coffee. So smooth and full of flavor but not weak. The peace in the building is phenomenal. The staff very friendly and helpful. The sandwich/food selection is small BUT it’s all delicious!!! You can tell it’s made by someone who cares.

Great quiet spot with options for breakfast, lunch, and a quick bite snacks . There's a variety of muffins, pastries ? , teas, and coffee at a price. Hello, if folks give SB & DD $5 to $10 for coffee, we'll they should stop by NABS and grab a latte for $4 bucks

It’s a good place for breakfast.

Always wonderful to dine there for a breakfast sandwich and drink of choice.

It is one of the best reuben sandwiches in all of eastern NC. The potato salad is also excellent. Quaint spot with a nice atmosphere.
