We get there on a Saturday night at 9:45 with their live music jamming but yet they tell us that their grill has closed for the night, but they're open until 11 tonight... Supposedly. Do better it's actually ridiculous.

My boy and I have ate here twice now and the food was delicious. I like the drinks and the live music. I recommend this place!!

If I could give it zero stars I would. After waiting over 30 minutes for an order I was told would take me 15 minutes. There was broken pieces black hard plastic in the food. The “manager” Mandy wanted me to waste my gas coming back up there after wasting my time then she hung up. Whomever was on the phone when I called back did offer me a credit but with customer service like hers…come back for what? This used to be a decent place but the service and food isn’t the same when certain people are on shift. Don’t waste your time or money.

We had a party of 9. Floors were sticky walking in and the food here is way too expensive. Seems like our table averaged $75/person. For what we paid for just our family of four to eat here we normally would get a feast for 8 people at other seafood restaurants; and no, it wasn't worth the price. One of the plates wasn't brought out until the end of our meal so that person pretty much watched us all clean our plates and the waitress refused to discount it or address the issue.. to top it all off, I'm pretty sure I left with food poisoning.
Also the tacos were disgusting and again, way too expensive for what you're getting!

Food was great.... But those chairs at the tables and high tops are the most uncomfortable chairs I've ever seen in my life!!!..... They seriously need to be changed for better ones.

Shuckers (Rocky Mount) - Dinner Review

I decided to give Shuckers in Rocky Mount a try for dinner, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet expectations.

Right off the bat, the restaurant was nearly empty, which was a little concerning for a dinner service. On top of that, there was a noticeable fishy smell in the air—not exactly the most inviting atmosphere.

I ordered the grilled seafood platter, but when it arrived, it was completely fried instead. Whether it was a mix-up in the kitchen or a misunderstanding, it was disappointing to not get what I actually ordered. The food itself was decent, but not enough to make up for the overall experience.

For a seafood restaurant, I expected fresher aromas and a more vibrant atmosphere. Based on my visit, I wouldn’t recommend it. 3/5 stars.

I don't like doing this to restaurants that are friendly and where nothing truly went wrong, but I'm on a drive lasting 5 more hours and I was craving raw oysters and clams. I could stop anywhere. I was checking reviews and felt like this was a good move. I won't claim to understand how the ordering and storing process of shellfish works, but I do know what a good oyster is when it gets to the table.

I got all 4 varieties they had and the clams. I left most of it uneaten because none of them were good. Now I have to stop again somewhere else for good oysters. The business seems to be doing everything else right but if you're on a road trip like me and looking for oysters, my advice is do something else.

For context, I eat a lot of oysters and I know the taste profile by the name. These just weren't right. They're not going to make me sick or anything. I'm not saying the food was spoiled. I'm just saying it's mid-tier and not worth it.

This was our first time here. We went on a night they had a band and it was crazy crowded. I really don't think they were prepared for that many people. We had a party of 14, which were seated at two different tables. Most of us received our food within 30 minutes. 4 of our group waited over an hour! Again, the establishment, I feel, was just not prepared for the crowd. They ran out of the Breakwater Burgers, which two of our crowd ordered. One was told this within 10 minutes of ordering. The other was not told until the food started coming out. So, at least 30 minutes after ordering. That person waited another 30 minutes just to receive a Tuna appetizer. The food itself was pretty good, though (4.3 overall rating). Our waitress was new but did a pretty good job. She was overwhelmed and we could tell but she didn't complain. In the end, she thanked our group for being understanding and not fussing at her. We will go back.

BIG NOPE!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! 1 OUT OF 10. service ok for the large parties that were there.. Crab dip was a cold with a pickel taste. Friend said it was ok. I thought it was gross. I got a lobster roll that tasted like it was sour/spoiled. Mac and cheese wasn't bad. Friend like her wings. Waited an extra 20 mins for the steamed clams. Jackie couldn't eat them, tasted funny. Out of 24 clams 7 were bad. Plus the clams had a weird taste. Hope i don't get sick. I had to give the manger a teaching on clams on how to tell if clams are good or bad. The ear of corn that came with it was mush (way over cooked) i tried the celary that came with friends wings and they tasted soapy. serve was OK. Bill was adjusted for food that was returned still costed to much at $60.

Lacking in service...food was fine
