Had such a nice stay on our way to Hilton Head. Hotel is clean and great. From check until check out can not say enough. Gwendolyn remembered us from trip in May and took such good care of us in Bistro. It is so nice to be able to relax and eat at hotel after a long drive. We will definitely be back again.

After a recent 10 day stay at this hotel while our home was being repaired, I want to warn potential future guests not to stay here, especially women and children. During our stay, my husband and I were verbally accosted by another guest on the elevator that continued into the hallway and then into the lobby. The acting GM was called to sort things out and he chose in his own words “to remain neutral.” In an episode of verbal violence that could easily have escalated to physical harm, the acting GM chose to remain neutral allowing the aggressor to remain in the hotel without consequences. Furthermore, we learned that the hotel does not have internal security cameras which serve as a crime deterrent and help local authorities solve crimes that do occur. Despite our strong feelings, the GM remained nonchalant and uncaring, refusing to keep his guests and staff safe from another guest who started a confrontation with us. For those of you whose families are part of travel ball teams or people coming to the local event center, I highly recommend you stay elsewhere because you will not be safe here under this GM’s “leadership.” The hotel staff were absolutely wonderful to us and were horrified at the situation and how it was handled. I am deducing that their safety and human rights are valued as much as mine by this GM.

The hotel was clean and quiet and the location right off of I-95 was great! We did online check in through the Marriott Bonvoy App and our keys were waiting for us at the front desk. Amanda (I hope I am remembering her name correctly) at the front desk was just wonderful! She was friendly, professional and made us feel so welcome. I never write reviews but she was so sweet I felt compelled to. I will definitely stay again on my next trip down to HHI.

The air conditioner was so loud(on and off constantly) that we got almost no sleep and left at 430 a.m!!! The hotel is beat up and needs remodeling. Wallpaper coming off in places. There’s many other Marriotts to choose from. Pool looked nice. Will not be back.

Awesome hotel. Staff was so nice and helpful. They were able to give directions to some restaurants nearby and to some trail heads. Room was perfectly clean and smelled nice, quiet. Comfy bed too! Like their little restaurant they have. Had a glass of wine and tried their burger. Pool is not available onsite but they said we could use the one next door which is nice. Will definitely stay here again.

This hotel is old and run down. It’s dark and dreary. The rooms have popcorn ceilings and the wallpaper in the bathroom is peeling off the walls. The carpet in the room feels disgusting. The AC unit is so loud that it hard to sleep. Bathroom vanity/sink area is so small, barely big enough for one person. Back of bathroom door looked like something had spilled on it and dripped down the door and dried and was never wiped/ cleaned. ? See pictures. Avoid this hotel. It’s awful.

Very clean lobby and rooms! Excellent work out room. The staff there is so friendly and helpful ( especially Crystal!). We had a very pleasant stay and would definitely stay at this property again. Very good place for a long stay or on the way down. We also had very good breakfast before we hit the road. Located near several restaurants. Ask at the front desk where you should go for dinner.

On check-in at 8:15pm, the clerk said the Bistro would be open until 10pm. When I returned to the hotel at 9:40, the Bistro was shut down, lights out, and no one available to serve. If I'd known they were closing early, I'd have stayed out longer.

Such a great stay. We stopped here for overnight stay on way to Hilton Head.Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff was outstanding from check in to the girls at the Bistro.Will definitely stay here again.

Lifetime platinum member with Marriott. They clean rooms every 3 days at this property. WTF Completely unacceptable stay in the Hilton if in this area. Honestly not worth it. What a waste. First time ever at Marriott that room is not cleaned.

We have become so accustomed to the complimentary buffet breakfasts, that have become the standard, that we were disappointed that a Courtyard did not provide this amenity. We did not know that the breakfast was not free. There is a restaurant on the premises for breakfast and dinner. The front desk clerk alerted us that breakfast was not free. He was pleasant, courteous, and efficient. The room is spacious, clean, and well maintained, except for the sliding balcony door. There is a good size work area in the room. The bed was slightly too soft for us. The pool and hot tub are handicap accessible. The Courtyard is near restaurants, shopping, and other services. The hotel is in an area called Gateway Plaza. About eight chain hotels are located in this area. In this area there is a Cracker Barrel, Outback, and Texas Steakhouse restaurants. Along Winstead Avenue, there are many other restaurants. The Courtyard is conveniently located at the intersection of U.S. Route 64 and Winstead, about two miles east of the intersection of I-95 and U.S. Route 64. Winstead is one of the main roads in Rocky Mount.

Terrible customer service. Rude and costly. Funny on our trip up north we stayed in a Marriot in Laurel Maryland, and it was fantastic. This was dad that was great, same hotel chain, whatever. We are members of Marriott, Bon Voy, and hope to stay somewhere again

The staff is very friendly and welcoming. It is very clean and the beds are very comfortable. Food is available in lobby. There are two restaurants within walking distance. I will stay here again. They have Starbucks coffee which is my go to.

The hotel is decent and in a great location. The staff is the absolute worst! We came in late after driving several hours. No one was at the front desk. The gentleman did arrive from outdoors and already had my keys ready. I appreciated that and we went about our way. At 7:30 am, we get a knock at the door by a male employee. He was just checking the rooms. At 8 am, we got another knock and it was housekeeping. Checkout is at 12 pm. Why was our sleep disturbed???? I called the front desk and politely asked that we were allowed time to rest. We were in town for a funeral. He advised that we used the sign on the door. We didn’t have one. He stated that someone would bring one up and place it on the door. The gentleman came up within 15 minutes and banged on the door. When I didn’t respond fast enough, he banged again. When I opened the door, he handed me the sign and said, “Happy Birthday!”. The housekeepers felt this was funny. I’m not sure why this happened. Why would someone be so rude to customers? We are Bonvoy members and chose to stay at a Marriott as we have come to know and expect high quality from the brand. This was the worst experience. We could not rest. We were disrespected. We will NEVER stay here again.
