I took my 84 yr old Mother to lunch yesterday. I have only been here once many years ago. She wanted Shrimp so when I saw the sign out front that said “Fresh Shrimp Fried or Grilled” we decided to check it out. The staff was great and the atmosphere good. However, upon receiving her fried shrimp plate and my grilled shrimp plate, we were disappointed to see that they were NOT fresh shrimp but little tiny, sure to be frozen salad shrimp, hers fried and mine grilled. I've never had a bad meal here and the staff is always so friendly. The
menu is pretty large but I've had a variety of items (fish is awesome, meatloaf is great) and all were very good, hushpuppies are the best. If you're too full for dessert, take a piece of lemon blueberry pie for later, you won't be sorry!

Good clean little restaurant with a lot of history. The daily specials read Like mama's daily dinner. I ordered the blacken red drum, fried with fries and cole slaw. It was absolutely delicious and I ordered sweet tea to drink. It was not too sweet, not too strong, perfection! My wife had the pot roast. We were both delighted with the service the taste of the food and the care in preparing it.
