“Great vibe and friendly service. I wish we could have stayed longer but just happened to find this prize while passing thru town. The wine was delicious! (Grabbed a couple bottles to take home). I love the wine centered on the muscadine grapes. You can really taste them. The band playing was awesome and engaged. We only got to hear a few songs so I really wish we got there earlier.”
“We had a delicious lunch and were very kindly welcomed. The cooking is sophisticated and the desserts are amazing. The place itself is worth the visit. Fantastic restaurant for a break on the road.”
“Went for my first time this year and had a great time. Enjoyed learning about the different wines during the tasting. We also went on a tour of how the wine is made. Found my new favorite Duplin wine, can’t wait to go back!”
“Food was great. It always is. The service was terrific. So polite. Nice. Clean. Food was delicious. I love chicken wings. Price was good. I really enjoy eating there.”
“We stopped here on vacation/visiting my brother. We all enjoyed our food is very rare when you have kids/nephews and nieces to please. Everyone enjoyed their food. Will definitely be back”
“It's inside of a gas station, but don't let that fool you. I stop at this place at least once a week, I drive a lot for work.Everytime I'm met with a professional attitude, and an attentive customer service experience. My sandwiches are always made to order, I don't like ordering from apps. The food is always good, and the staff builds my sub with care.”
“This is the best restaurant in Duplin County in my opinion . Every time I’ve went, the food has been fresh, affordable, delicious and definitely worth the money. I’ve never had a bad experience from the wait staff either or the owner who is super friendly any time he’s talked to me! The drinks are good as well. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone!”
“I went into a sweet and savory coma! Wish I could have tried all and I will eventually? What a Gem I was introduced to as a new comer to this area. I will be taking relatives and friends for treats. You gotta do the maple bacon croissant!Wheelchair accessibility: Parking and Handicapped friendly. No steps and different heights seating.”
“Super cute little coffee shop with TONS of flavor options!I didn’t try their coffee black, but the specialty latte I got was delicious! (Not too sweet or over powered by flavor).Wasn’t able to sit and enjoy the cute atmosphere but would definitely recommend. Their staff were so kind!”
“Literally the best little taco place EVER! We are from the area but moved about 3 hrs away. We make sure to stop by every time we get to Magnolia because no where makes tacos that hit the spot like Taqueria Mi Lupita can!”
“This was a first time experience for myself with my father. I had been told many times that this restaurant was good but expensive. The first assertion was absolutely correct, but the second I believe is incorrect; the prices are fair for the quality of the ingredients and the preparation of the meal. I ordered a cheeseburger; it was immense, the patty was thick, and it had fresh jalapeños, as I asked for them. My father ordered their fried shrimp, and let me tell you that I am often disappointed by shrimp in many restaurants, to the extent that I have given-up on trying to find some that are fresh and larger than a quarter. My dad’s shrimp were slightly larger than a half-dollar and they were fresh, deveined, and lightly battered; I was impressed. The hostess was polite and the waiter was prompt, instinctive, and happily made our order to-go when I realized my father had an appointment and we couldn’t dine-in. I hope you have a similar experience.”
“I'm from Connecticut but I have local family. This place was a most pleasant surprise in an area where I've never had a bad dining experience. Good solid but imaginative food, nice beer selection, laid back but welcoming atmosphere.”
“I’ve been to Country Squire several times over the years, but this was my first time staying overnight. The atmosphere, service and food were all fantastic. I cannot recommend the “Vintage Package” enough!”
“Back when my grandma was alive & owned The Tax Place across the street, she'd send me here to get her Spots & I'd always get fried chicken, it's totally better than my mom's lolif you like southern savory foods, try this place, you won't be disappointed! & they have good skins. <3Parking: open, free parking”
“I had the rice bowl, and chose shrimp as my meat option. The flavor as well as presentation throughout the entire dish was outstanding. It was a little bit more expensive than I expected, however it was well worth it. You can tell that they care about their food! I will absolutely be eating from there again.”
“I was looking for a different place to eat and found this out of the way diner. I found it after googling "breakfast in Wallace, NC". After swiping through all the fast food places, this popped up. The food was great! I got the Southern Omelet with a side of grits and a biscuit. It was definitely homemade cooking. I highly recommend you visit this diner. You better bring cash though, that's all they take. (ATM inside)”
“The staff is amazing the food is always cooked and seasoned perfect. I've never gotten a bad meal here. My go to place for a more authentic Mex food experience. Recommend looking at their new menu options its absurdly good.Kid-friendliness: The staff are super sweet to the children. Love how they interact with our 2yr old 10/10”
“Excellent food!! Service was exceptional and prices were really good. We will definitely be going backParking: Plenty of parking and right by the road so you see it”
“One of the best subs I’ve had in a long time. The bread was great… the meat was sliced to order… and the choice of toppings was just right. In addition to the food being great, the service was also wonderful. They also have a nice outdoor seating area.”
“I love the ambiance and food selection. Hate that I can't mix n match tacos but they're so good.!Vegetarian options: Veggie fajitas and veggie burrito offered”
“Local lore claims that the original restaurant burned and that this one just recently reopened under the new name, Cactus J Restaurant. They don't have a website but found them on Facebook with a menu. Although I was unable to call them I decided to stop there anyway on my way to another restaurant. Surprise! It was open and I ordered fish tacos, regular tacos & street tacos. They were all yummy, especially the fish tacos...I think they might be the best ones I've had.”
“Saw this restaurant on UNC-TV and had to visit. The ribs are basted with a sweet sauce and very tinder, lima beans, cabbages, yams are well seasoned. The hushpuppies are delightful!!”
“It was our 1st time here. We stopped for lunch. Loved the food! The staff was friendly and on top of keeping the buffet stocked with hot & fresh food.We definitely will be repeat customers!Wheelchair accessibility: My Mom uses a walker to get around. The parking was right close to ramp and easy access to the entrance.”
“I came across Pizza Corner in Wallace by pure luck when I drove by it. I went in not knowing what to expect but let me tell you, that double cheese burger was literally out of this world. I asked for it to be extra well-done, and when it came out, it was well-done but yet still very juicy. The flavor was on point and I couldn't be more satisfied - hands down one of the best burgers I have ever had! The service was also exceptional - I'll be back here the next time I'm in the area. A++++”
“Went on Saturday afternoon for a wine tasting. The building is very unique. The bartender that did the tasting was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. That's the reason for the 4 star review. They have a large variety of different styles of wine. The wines we tried were good but we had better at other wineries in the area.”
“This morning I ordered a low carb breakfast bowl! It was the best breakfast bowl I’ve had at any Hardee’s! The cook made it as close to perfect as anything could be! The young lady taking the orders was very sweet! Best Hardee’s drive through experience in a long while!!”
“Been getting coupons for BOGO free foot long sub otherwise I wouldn't be eating from here as much. The Subs are delicious, out favorite is #1 Philly Steak & Cheese Sub. One foot long Sub's normal price is anywhere from $11.79 up to around $14 for a couple of subs that have a lot of meat. Then add sales tax and that is expensive for just one foot long Sub in my opinion. Plus when you get checked out at the register, there is a prompt that comes up on your side of the register that suggests you leave a tip! The smallest tip suggestion is 15%! I think the other 2 suggestions are 20% and 25%!! Really?? I am so tired of all the businesses that have jumped on this band wagon of asking for tips! Most businesses that have added tip suggestions actually keep any tips that customers give. If I want to tip a employee anywhere, I give it directly to the employee! I do not think I should have to tip any business for doing business with any company!”
“We had our Church Christmas Party there...the food was exquisite....the decorations were so festive...the wait staff were very friendly and on spot...thank you, Rose Hill Restaurant, for a perfect dining experience!!!”
