“This was a first time experience for myself with my father. I had been told many times that this restaurant was good but expensive. The first assertion was absolutely correct, but the second I believe is incorrect; the prices are fair for the quality of the ingredients and the preparation of the meal. I ordered a cheeseburger; it was immense, the patty was thick, and it had fresh jalapeños, as I asked for them. My father ordered their fried shrimp, and let me tell you that I am often disappointed by shrimp in many restaurants, to the extent that I have given-up on trying to find some that are fresh and larger than a quarter. My dad’s shrimp were slightly larger than a half-dollar and they were fresh, deveined, and lightly battered; I was impressed. The hostess was polite and the waiter was prompt, instinctive, and happily made our order to-go when I realized my father had an appointment and we couldn’t dine-in. I hope you have a similar experience.”

“I'm from Connecticut but I have local family. This place was a most pleasant surprise in an area where I've never had a bad dining experience. Good solid but imaginative food, nice beer selection, laid back but welcoming atmosphere.”

“I had the rice bowl, and chose shrimp as my meat option. The flavor as well as presentation throughout the entire dish was outstanding. It was a little bit more expensive than I expected, however it was well worth it. You can tell that they care about their food! I will absolutely be eating from there again.”

“I was looking for a different place to eat and found this out of the way diner. I found it after googling "breakfast in Wallace, NC". After swiping through all the fast food places, this popped up. The food was great! I got the Southern Omelet with a side of grits and a biscuit. It was definitely homemade cooking. I highly recommend you visit this diner. You better bring cash though, that's all they take. (ATM inside)”

“The staff is amazing the food is always cooked and seasoned perfect. I've never gotten a bad meal here. My go to place for a more authentic Mex food experience. “Saw this restaurant on UNC-TV and had to visit. The ribs are basted with a sweet sauce and very tinder, lima beans, cabbages, yams are well seasoned. The hushpuppies are delightful!!”

“I came across Pizza Corner in Wallace by pure luck when I drove by it. I went in not knowing what to expect but let me tell you, that double cheese burger was literally out of this world. I asked for it to be extra well-done, and when it came out, it was well-done but yet still very juicy. The flavor was on point and I couldn't be more satisfied - hands down one of the best burgers I have ever had! The service was also exceptional - I'll be back here the next time I'm in the area. “Been getting coupons for BOGO free foot long sub otherwise I wouldn't be eating from here as much. The Subs are delicious, out favorite is #1 Philly Steak & Cheese Sub. One foot long Sub's normal price is anywhere from $11.79 up to around $14 for a couple of subs that have a lot of meat. Then add sales tax and that is expensive for just one foot long Sub in my opinion. Plus when you get checked out at the register, there is a prompt that comes up on your side of the register that suggests you leave a tip! The smallest tip suggestion is 15%! I think the other 2 suggestions are 20% and 25%!! Really?? I am so tired of all the businesses that have jumped on this band wagon of asking for tips! Most businesses that have added tip suggestions actually keep any tips that customers give. If I want to tip a employee anywhere, I give it directly to the employee! I do not think I should have to tip any business for doing business with any company!”

“If you want a birthday cake that tastes as good as it looks try this place out. They also make a ham and cheese oven baked sandwich that is awesome . “We stopped in for breakfast because of a detour on our way to the Wallace hog market. The food was good, the atmosphere was standard for a fast food joint. I had to ask for my Cheddar Bo biscuit on the way out, they were still baking when we ordered, and they neglected to bring it out, as promised.”
