American Hero Restaurant serves food that is always pretty good, with a very nice Philly cheese steak that is consistent and good. The price is reasonable. The chicken cheese steaks are non-impressive, and the fries are the worst in 2 decades. The drinks are fountain, with a nice selection, ample ice, and free refills for dine in. The inside of the store needs an update; the building is old and repairs are expensive, but several things can be spruced up. The place is down home style with no fancy floors or decor. The staff is likely a family, and the banter is enjoyable. People that frequent the place go there for the Philly cheese steak. However, some customers got an upset stomach after eating different meals. The service is fast and not busy.
