Jesse James Railroad Express

Seeing all of the good reviews for this place I couldn't wait to try one of their burgers. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. Their burgers are the frozen, pre-patted type and tasted just like those I remember eating in the school lunchroom, e.g., thawed and then dumped into a container of hot water where they're left until someone orders one. Staff seemed friendly and the inside had some nice train memorabilia, but I would never get a burger here again ever.

Cute little roadside spot! Visiting family and dropped in. Everything was fantastic! We will definitely be back!

First visit. Great little restaurant. Pimento burger was excellent. The fries were crispy the way they are supposed to be. The staff was friendly. Definitely coming back.

Was looking forward to our visit. Food was underwhelming. Burgers tasted like what you can make on your grill at home with little effort. Pimento sandwich looked like bad nacho cheese just spooned onto some bread leaking out all over the place. Couldn't finish it. Very bland. Dining area inside had two tables. Decor was nice. Soda tasted flat like it came from 2 liters sitting all day. Probably won't be back.

Ordered online and had delivered. Today 7/11/22. Did not recieve what I ordered. Only 1 french fry was in my order not 2 fries as ordered. Ask for NO Tomatoes on club sandwich. Tomatoes were all over it. Ordered a Sweet Tea. No tea was in order. WILL NOT BE EATING THERE AGAIN!!

Saw this place while bicycling on the Thermal Belt Rail Trail. Glad we stopped in. Burger and hot dog were great! Friendly staff.

The service was awesome. The hotdogs we got were alright, but the chili or the slaw was too sweet. Haven't figured out which it was, or both. The club sandwich is awesome. The milkshakes are the best thing ever!

Great burger and dessert on our trip back from the mountains. Despite a sign on the door asking for “patience due to being understaffed,” we found the service to be timely and pleasant!

We were traveling through and stopped here hoping for good food. I normally do not leave reviews, but the cheese burger and fries were not good at all. I paid $13 for a small cheese burger that tasted like the meat had been soaked in water all day. Fries that were nothing special and a drink they had to replace because it was flat. The waitress asked if I wanted to leave a tip on a TOGO order (ugh!)As I waited for my food I looked through the menu seen they offered homemade items and ordered a cup of tunq salad TOGO , again when I paid the waitress asked if I wanted to leave ANOTHER TIP. She said it was going to a different person. By the time I left with my Cheeseburger , Fries Drink and cup of Tuna Salad it was $26 after tips. Yikes!!I'm sorry but never again. So si many better places that serve burgers.

Local culture and good food!! Staff was super friendly! A great stop on the Rail Trail. And, the desserts?? Oh my!! ❤️
