“Definitely 5 stars across the board. Randomly stopped in here while passing through town. The young lady at the counter suggested the Belgian Chick spicy. These people are doing the lords work back there in that kitchen. Don’t know if I’ll ever be back to Rutherfordton, but I’ll always remember that chicken n waffle ”

“Crystal always greats you with a smile. She knows all of the regulars by name, and she is just an absolute sweetheart. The food is nothing short of amazing. Wonderful little food place on the side of the road. Food tastes the same every time. It gets really busy at lunch, don’t let that intimidate you, the food is well worth the wait.”

“Visiting from north Florida. Last week had the fried chicken dinner and the catfish basket. Had to come back and get more catfish baskets (shown in photo)! Sides of green beans, slaw, and fries were what I expected. Chicken and hush puppies were very good, but the catfish was the BEST I've ever had and at a very reasonable price too! The restaurant is attached to an antiques store with lots of neat stuff to look at while waiting for your food!”

We got the nachos, burger, and hot honey chicken sandwich and they were all great! They are a scratch kitchen so everything was made fresh for us!”

“I hadn’t been to a KFC for close to 30 years, but I heard that their pot pies were very good and wanted to try one. I also saw an advertisement for a smashed potato bowl with chicken, so I ordered one of those as well. I also saw that there was a Mountain Dew flavor that is exclusive to KFC, sweet lightning, so, of course I had to try that. I couldn’t resist a small lemon Bundt cake on the menu. The verdict is in. The pot pie was delicious. My only disappointment was that there was not a crust on the bottom. However, the crust on top was flaky and crisp and the filling was hot and loaded with big chunks of white meat chicken. I would definitely order that again. The smashed potato bowl with chopped up fried chicken was so salty that I was unable to eat it. The Mountain Dew sweet lightning was absolutely outstanding! The flavors are peach and honey, and they delighted my taste buds! The lemon mini Bundt cake was moist and bursting with lemon flavor with a lemon glaze drizzled on top. I will probably be returning for a pot pie with sweet lightning along with a lemon cake in the near future.”

“The food here is phenomenal. It is always fresh, hot and delicious. You get large portions too. Something else I would like to point out, we have never had to correct an order. We live an hour away, and order from here often. They are always super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!”
