Yellow Sun Pizza and Pints

It’s really unfortunate, we were really looking forward to trying this place as we are new to Forest City. Upon arrival, there was a really nice guy at the bar with great customer service. We ordered our food and sat down. However, it took over an hour and 15 minutes to get one pizza. A pizza that we paid over $25 for. The pizza was fine. It wasn’t worth $25 and it certainly wasn’t worth $25 and an hour and 15 minute wait.

Personally, I would recommend Barley‘s or fly girl. You’re gonna pay the same for a larger pizza and it’s gonna take a lot less time. Plus, Barley has way more taps on their menu. We’re disappointed because again the people were really nice. But sometimes wait times can’t make up for customer service.

What a great surprise. Phenomenal pizza! Not only best in town, but best in NC. Don't miss the experience. The attendants were (servers were so polite and helpful in a down home way.

Some of the best pizzas I have had since Louis closed several years ago. If you like NY style crispy crust and well-done cheese, this is your place. Building is small and tables limited to just handful however its comfortable, and the servers are pleasantly polite and speak to you while also looking you in the eye. Seems a small thing, but many younger folks are so awkward today they can make you feel uncomfortable by them being so anxious just speaking to people. A topic for another place, of course. If NY style pizza is your thing, do yourself a favor and add Yellow Sun to your out to eat rotation.

Wow! Tried Yellow Sun pizza last night and it did not disappoint! Crust was perfectly light, chewy on the inside AND crispy on the outside (I know, it's crazy, but it was both!) Toppings were well balanced, and you can really tell these folks take flavor building seriously! We had a group so were able to try several different pizzas - all were delicious! We tried Grape and Goat Cheese, the King Daddy, Stuntman Mike, and the weekly special with kimchi and yum yum sauce - fantastic! I usually hate leftover pizza, however I made an exception and enjoyed this cold for breakfast! Plan ahead and try this place out - you won't regret it!

My wife and I had our first date here, and have been a loyal customer for over 2 years. Jonathan is super polite and very patient, somebody you'd definitely wanted working for you! We will continue to come here because of the pizza 🍕 being so delicious but also because of how this place gives off Mom and pop vibes!!! 8/5 stars!

We’re new to town and this was our first time trying YSP. It was FANTASTIC! The young lady on the phone was so polite and the pizza was just great!! We built our own pizza and they followed instructions to the tee!! Definitely our go-to place for pizza. 🍕 ✌🏻💛🍕
