Love the ribs and fries! It was beautiful to wait and eat outside at sunset. When traveling here make sure you take the correct route into the st James area. When we traveled here we could not enter certain gates and had to find the main entrance. Kids meal was excellent. The prices were very affordable and very reasonable for the quality and amount of food!

Unfortunately I was just turned away with my trained medical alert (service) dog. I explained to them that my dog is legal and offered to show them his certification -as he sat patiently next to me- and they informed me that I would not be allowed in.
Violating federal law is not a good look, of course I didn't push it because I would rather give my money to somewhere I can be safe in case my dog alerts. 🤷🏽‍♀️😬

Nice atmosphere on the water. The service is subpar and the menu continues to be very bland

We have been coming here since it opened. It is casual and convenient. Not bad, not great. The food was much better before the chef and menu changed. The Balsamic Chicken was classic and one of the best dishes on the menu, but they don't even bring it back as a special. Burgers are pretty good. Not great for Gluten Free, but they do offer a GF bun. Beacon shrimp is excellent. The outside seating is 5 star. Music on Sundays is great. Unfortunately they only have music for a few months of the year. I think the new manager is quite good, and we need to give him a chance to work issues. The service is ok, or at least adequate, but it can be slow. A small ding from a recent trip: The hostess sat a couple ahead of us even after we pointed out we were next and that table should be ours. She told us not to worry because another table would be ready soon. She wasn't mean or anything, she was simply unaware that was an unacceptable response.

Whenever I am at the beach I always have to order one with a beer. Although I didn’t have a beer, the wine was good and the crab cake sandwich was excellent!
The bugs were out but you would expect that. The view of the harbor helped overcome that issue!

So much hope after the fire, sadly BIG time disappointed. Absolutely a beautiful location, cannot argue that. Big gamble in terms of what you get the day you visit....food, service, bartending, etc. Nooooo consistency. It depends on the crowd, and the servers who are dedicated to the “regulars” are obvious. And the SD bartender who needs to learn hospitality. Very cold. Take some lessons from Reserve folks who worked at the marina many years prior.

The hostess/manager Anne is incredible rude and disregards customers. I ordered a steak bowl for breakfast snd got the equivalent of steakums. The staff aside from one waitress are atrocious, slow and incompetent. This place is in a serious need of a retail with a hospitality manager at the helm. Also, fire the hostess she is the rudest and poor representation of Beacon 315.

I don’t want to give a bad review since I’m sure the place is excellent. However this place is NOT open to the public as advertised. There is no way to get there unless you are a member or invited in. There is a manned security gate. The security officer did give us an option to call the restaurant and said the restaurant would likely allow us through. We tried to call a few times with no answer during their lunch business hours. After our third unanswered call we decided to go elsewhere.
