1. Oxtail are salty 2. Sauce is different. Not in a good way 3. Little to no meat on oxtails. Very fatty 4. Jerk chkn patty was doughy/undercooked 5. Mac n cheese has no flavor

I have never had the food here. I pick up orders for delivery. The food smells incredible. People order from all over for deliveries from this place. So the food has to be incredibly good. The staff are amazing.

I spent at least 30 minutes waiting on conch fritters only for them to be burnt, gummy, and salty! Very disappointed that the chef had no problem in providing me with this sub-par product. Even had my car smelling burnt! 🤬

Ordered a whole tilapia for dinner to-go. They asked me how I wanted it and I hoped they would cook it as per the menu on the blackboard. I told them it has to be a dry dish but not too overcooked. Tilapia turned out to be very undercooked, unseasoned and the sides rice & cabbage weren't great either.

I went last Saturday to get just some jerk chicken, beef patty & coco bread well first off they charge $15 for 5 pieces of cut up chicken which in essence makes maybe 2 whole pieces of chicken before being cut so I asked for oxtail combo plate which is $34. In total I spent $45 which was an absolute total waste of my time and money! The oxtails were sliced as thin as cold cuts, they were not tender at all and they had no flavor, the jerk chicken taste like regular grilled chicken absolutely zero jerk flavor, the coco bread was hard, the beef patty was hard. To top it off I originally called to see if they had roti she said no then after I received my order I asked when they will have roti again she said “oh that was you that called we have roti, the girl said we didn’t but then came back and told me we did” I would have never wasted my money ordering all that food if they knew what they were talking about but the curry chicken roti I wanted probably would have tasted horrible as well. I most definitely would have gotten a better meal from a Chinese restaurant!

Worst Jamaican food I’ve ever had. The food was cold. The cabbage and rice were not cooked all the way. The bones from the oxtails were mixed in with the meat. If you’re looking for fresh authentic Jamaican this is NOT the place!!

Me and my fiance shared a combo plate of curry chicken and jerk chicken. The rice and peas were good a little spicer than I like but not too hot. The curry chicken was ok, the jerk chicken just tasted like grilled chicken that was on the grill to long in certain places, it tasted burnt to me, no spices on it.

Today was my first time ordering food from this restaurant and I was thoroughly disappointed with the customer service. The man serving a customer was arguing with the customer because she didn't clearly understand what he was trying to say, keep in mind he has a strong jamaican accent. I tried to calm the misunderstanding down. When the customer left he proceeded to point his finger towards my face trying to justify what had happened. I did not like that nor did I bother to correct him. Furthermore, the small brown stew chicken was not hot or authentic and I am jamaican, so I know authentic cuisine when I have it. Lastly, the food was way over priced. I'm from NY and CT and never paid that much even for a large. That's crazy business. I hope they can do better. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend anyone to takeout from here.

In a town with almost no real culture in it, it’s refreshing to be able to get some real Caribbean food here in Salisbury. The curry goat is fantastic! Definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Wanted to show support for Caribbean Island Cafe. Owner Fitzroy is excellent chef. Feeling the island vibes. Clean, vibrant atmosphere and food, come hungry, they have plenty of great choices. Oxtails will be my next choice.
