“I was in town for a Graduation Ceremony, and Graduate and I wanted to eat and find a Hibachi Restaurant. She asked around and many people recommended Ichiban Japanese Seafood & Steakhouse. We arrived at the restaurant at 3:30,the restaurant didn’t open until 4:00. The parking lot eventually was filling up, that was a good sign for me. The restaurant opened promptly at 4:00, was greeted at the door, which was another good sign. We had to let them know how many were in our party, had a short wait to be seated at Hibachi table with two other families, they were all very friendly. Drink orders were taken promptly. I had a very good Margarita, the salad with shrimp dressing was good. I ordered steak, shrimp and chicken with fried rice and veggies. The hibachi chef was very entertaining and we all enjoyed watching him work his magic. The food was filling and scrumptious, the chef made sure our plates were plentiful!! Couldn’t eat it all, so had leftovers. The restaurant itself is clean and attractive I can see why it’s such a popular place. Truly enjoyed my visit and recommend you try them if you have not. “This was such a fabulous article that I had to meet these fellows and check out their menu. As I walked in the door, I met the absolutely delightful Fitzroy. I sampled the jerk chicken wings and the fish stew which were both yummy. Yesterday we went back and got the chicken patty and loved it. I had never had oxtail so I asked Fitzroy If I could have a little taste to see if I liked it. Well I now love oxtail so that’s what I ordered. Absolutely blown away by the deliciousness of this food… Made delicious by the love that goes into it and all of the creativity and spices. We met Ricardo yesterday who is another very special individual. If you’re looking for a new place to go where the food is infused with all sorts of delightful things I would highly recommend going to visit Fitzroy and Ricardo. They are two of the nicest guys and so very humble.”

The bagels and muffin are really good, they come from a bakery so they are fresh and delicious .

I love their monthly drink specials. Every month gets a new theme and a new line up. It definitely makes things more interesting so you don’t get bored.

The service is always awesome. It doesn’t matter if you go through drive through or inside, everyone is always friendly and helpful.

They have cooler drinks, coffee, tea, syrups and coffee by the pound for sale.

There is a nice amount of seating and people often come there for meetings, working on their computer, and just reading at the table.”

And what a delightful place! The restaurant's clean, simple atmosphere created a welcoming ambiance. We were immediately greeted with warmth and helpful suggestions from a kind staff member, as we were Turkish food newbies. The chicken was the best I'd ever eaten! -- kebab chicken: an absolute revelation! Every bite was a flavor explosion. The accompanying sauce, rice, and even the french fries were unexpectedly delicious. The portions were quite generous, and visually appealing. So glad we found this place. “Teatastic is truly a hidden gem!  This quaint little shop offers amazing customer service that goes above and beyond. While I was out of town for work, my 8-year-old daughter earned a DoorDash treat, and she was so excited to get Teatastic. Sadly, we discovered that DoorDash didn’t deliver from Teatastic. @DoorDash, what's up with that?  I promised her a visit when I returned.  That night, we rushed over after dance class. We arrived at 7:05, just after closing, and the doors were locked. My daughter looked at me, disappointed and teary-eyed, and I knelt to hug her. Then, to our surprise, a kind young woman opened the door and invited us in for a drink! Her warmth and generosity absolutely made my daughter’s day and reminded me of the wonderful sense of community here.

Since that experience, we’ve returned multiple times, including during the Halloween Fall Festival, where we enjoyed a fun Witches Brew drink. The staff is consistently fantastic, the shop is spotless, and the drinks are simply delicious.

Teatastic has quickly become one of our favorite spots off Main, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and fantastic tea drinks.

The restaurant was packed but all were seated in a timely manner and our order was taken quickly. My sandwich was hot and the portions were very generous. Love how the salsa isn't too spicy, so my kids would like it too. I had a taco salad that came in a tortilla bowl. My only suggestion is more lettuce, but it was great too. I have family coming in to town and this will be our go to, if they want a nice dinner night. Service is great too and they don't make you feel like you're inconveniencing them for them doing their jobs, as other local Mexican restaurants do.”

“We came for a late lunch today, on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Our server Tracy was fun, bright and welcoming and so attentive. Our pizza, the Deluxe Pizza, was delicious full of so much flavor, truly out of this world. The Chicken Vesuvio was tender, juicy and served in a delicious sauce over linguini. It's clearly a labor of love here. We highly recommend this beautiful neighborhood spot.”

“On my birthday last night , we chose to celebrate by going out to dinner at another local restaurant. What made this restaurant stand out was that they cooked their food right in front of us. A kind man politely asked us to switch seats with him so our kids could have a better experience. We were a group of seven seated with a lovely local family of three. We enjoyed conversations about sports and other topics. At the end of the night, we were delighted to discover that our bill had been taken care of ($343.24). We were sitting with the owner of College Barbecue! We regularly visited Salisbury to watch my niece play basketball at Catawba College.We are new to the food selection in the area.I'm excited to eat at his restaurant on my NEXT visit to show my appreciation. “I'd say it's a secret gem, but the cat is out of the bag. I'm reasonably well travelled and it is my favorite place for BBQ in Salisbury. That said, Salisbury is my hometown and I am biased.

Salisbury has wonderful barbeque all over compared to other parts of NC--especially the more developed areas. College Barbeque around the corner IS the best pulled pork barbeque because they still have a smoke pit.

That's fine if you just want to away BBQ for plates or sandwhiches BUT, if you want to to dine in a place with solidly great barbeque, local charm and excellent service, this Hendrix near the original Food Lion (Food Town) is the place to go. They also way outshine other BBQ places in town for a hot breakfast.

Hendrix and College BBQ are right around the corner from each other; try both and see which you like best--be careful who you tell though, in Salisbury we take our BBQ seriously and it is not unheard of for debate over the best BBQ in town to ruffle a few feathers.

Parking: Lot is a mid sized lot, but the popularity has outgrown the parking space. If it's full you may need to park nearby and walk.”

“I grew up in Salisbury and lived there well into my adulthood. I live in Columbia, SC now but when I come back to town to visit my Mom, one of my favorite places to eat is at Checkered Flag. They’re food is really good but the hard working ladies who serve the customers is what makes it great. They take the time to talk to every customer at every table and it’s not just chit chat. They really want to know how you are and what they can do for you to make your visit perfect. They treat everyone like family but for those of us who come back again and again, we become family. Even for me, an out of towner, I even know two of the hard working ladies, Angela and Jen. Angela showed her hard working team spirit yesterday when, Jen, our server, was tied up with her other tables. Angela stepped in and took our order until Jen could get back over to us. This example of teamwork becomes contagious and I’m sure that Jen has done the same thing for Angela and all of her co-workers. Jen is such a joy to be around. Her personality oozes charisma and warmth and she makes you feel truly special because that is who she is!! I heartily recommend Checkered Flag for their great food and and their even greater people!! I rate them 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and 5 hearts!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️”

“I'm not sure why Google wanted me to rate this place like it was a restaurant, but it is a discount bread and bakery shop that also has other food items like chips and gravy and whatever else seems to be in stock at the moment. Their prices are great. And I've never had dry bread just because it was discounted. Although I have had some Bakery items that were slightly dry. But given how much I save, I don't mind. I don't buy my bread from anywhere else. The staff is friendly. I definitely recommend this business.”

“Yall this place is SO UNDERRATED. Staff were super nice, was only $10/person and food was great and gluten free options! I am shocked they weren’t busier since this is such a good buy and was so good!

When you walk in they have 3 small buffets on the right side one with salad, one with pizza, and one with hot food. They also had a mini table with cookies and bread on it.

Salad items was romaine, carrot, tomato, onion, cucumber, potato salad (one of the best I’ve ever had) , broccoli, cantaloupe slices, eggs, parm and motzarella cheese , and homemade dressing in little plastic cups.

The pizza was tasty according to my husband whom was able to eat it (I am gluten and dairy free)

On the hot bar was spaghetti, meat sauce, eggplant parm, cheese ravioli, chicken chunks, pork chunks, this chicken/potato/pepper/ potato thing that was so good, and these meatballs that were to die for!!!

I appreciate so much that there were gluten free options with the chicken and meatballs being breadcrumb/ flour free. Everything was super good and fresh.

The place was not crowded. We got there at 11:30 and out by 12:30 and total was 6 tables and a whole other side of the restaurant was open and empty. This is not due to quality I think it’s due to lack of advertising, outside signage, and the front of the restaurant looks less welcoming. And open to pull people in so I def wanted to do this review to get more people in there as I will def be back! Try them out for your next Wed-Friday lunch.

I did confirm with them that they are NOT open Monday/ Tuesday/ Saturday/ Sunday and I did update the hours in google.

“I had a very disappointing experience when I went on Wednesday afternoon. The food was super awesome but the service was absolutely horrible. The management staff were rude, inattentive, and seemed more interested in chatting with each other than actually doing their job. We had to wait far too long to place our order, and when we finally did, the manager acted like they were doing us a favor. To make matters worse, they messed up our order and didn’t even apologize for the mistake. Instead, they argued with us and took forever to bring out the correct dishes. It completely ruined the dining experience. If you value good service, I would suggest avoiding this place. There are plenty of other restaurants with better staff and a more welcoming atmosphere. This was a waste of time and money. 2 out of 10 wouldn't recommend”

Prices are on par with most takeout places, and the Shrimp Fried Rice and Vegetable Lo Mein are both more flavorful than other places I've tried. Service was friendly and fast. I was told by a long time resident of the town who runs a shop just a few doors down that this is, in fact, true. They make their ice cream right there, in the back. If management reads my review, something I’d suggest to make your place 5-star is to use better bowls and spoons. We were served our ice cream in the lowest-end/cheapest styrofoam bowls and plastic spoons. The spoons are so flimsy that they bend as you dig into the ice cream. Your wonderful product deserves better and it really wouldn’t cost you that much.”

“Standard Taco Bell. Overall the staff is pretty good the food is good and there's nothing in particular to complain about. It does get busy real late when other restaurants are closing. The only thing that could get a little Annoying is sometimes they will have you wait in the Drive-Thru after you take your order before letting you go up to the front window.

Parking: Overall kid friendly just be careful in the busy parking lot
