Food was excellent. Highly recommend. Finally was able to take my wife to Checkered Flag BBQ in Salisbury. We live 45 minutes away in Charlotte and it was near lunch time when we got in the area, so we decided to go here. The food was excellent. We both got a BBQ sandwich, split a fry and I ordered a hotdog. No, I didn't need it. The picture looks funny as I was attempting to split the footlong in half. Didn't realize it was a footlong until it came to the table. There's a picture of a "hotdog man" on the window, which prompted me to order one. The hotdog was so good that after my wife took one bite, she proceeded to take 2 more. The BBQ sandwiches were just the right size. Ample BBQ and slaw on both. The fries were hot and fresh. Oh, and the sweet tea was outstanding. I guarantee, we'll be back.

Been years since my last visit , the BBQ was dry and hard and the table not clean.Again the BBQ was not good and the owner was not friendly. Never will go back again.Even the tea had a flat taste.

BBQ was extremely dry and tuff, hush puppies were burnt beyond edible we told our waitress and she said the cooker was down yesterday and apparently it hadn't been fixed, all she did was apologize. Would not recommend to anyone. Absolutely the worst meal I ever paid for. The chopped BBQ wasn't even chopped it was in very large chunks and some were so dry and hard they were inedible. We will not visit this restaurant again.
