Have eaten here countless times. They catered my wedding. They catered my sister’s wedding. I’ve never been disappointed. Have gotten to know the owner and some of the staff and have come to consider them to be friends.
College Barbecue has been one of my favorite area restaurants for my entire life. I’ve utilized their food for holidays, special occasions and even catering for different work events through the years. Not saying I’m done with the restaurant or anything but it really seems they are struggling after my last few visits. We enjoyed the pulled pork, hush puppies, slaw, a breakfast spread with eggs, bacon, potatoes hash, pancakes, and a hot dog - Carolina style. Restaurants was packed full on a Sunday at 10:30 AM. No wait, really friendly staff, clean area & restrooms. Sweet tea was on-point. Prices very reasonable. Eastern Carolina Vinegar BBQ 'Sauce' was delicious, with a sweet vinegar heat, perfectly balanced for the pulled pork.
