El Patron Mexican Grill & Cantina

Been several times and was my family's favorite. Went lastnight ordered the cancun dip as always and to our surprise it was hot when it's normally a cold dip so it didn't taste like it normally does. Got the bill it's always around $100 for my family of 4. I added the tip as a scanned the bill quickly. Then as we were leaving I checked the bill again. A 20% tip was added on top of the $14 tip I left. I feel like they were trying to pull one over on me. I had to go back in and cancel the extra tip I had left. If I wouldn't had noticed this like I'm sure most don't they would have got a 35% tip. Was a loyal customer but after this we will not be back.

I’ve only been here twice and the first time I came I got a shrimp burrito and it was SOOOOO good 10/10 would recommend. I went back and tried to be different and order the beef quesadillas, only for the meat to be unseasoned… not only was it my food but the steak in the fajitas that my friend ordered was also unseasoned. For a restaurant that claims to be a mexican grill the meat sure does lack flavor…

A pleasant surprise. We tend to gravitate to stand-alone establishments over store-front venues, but decided to give this a rry. Their menu is quite extensive, a lot of dishes you don't generally find in a beans & rice joint. We got the veggie fajitas (zucchini & yellow squash, red & green peppers, spinach & red onion) with half a dozen shrimp add-on and it was excellent. The veggies were fresh, nicely seasoned, sauteed & hot on the skillet.
The service was fast & friendly, but the atmosphere was a bit lacking. It was a Friday night and they packed. There was waiting for groups, but they seated the two of us right away. It was a bit noisey for us and the choice of music was horrific (some weird techno stuff I've never heard of, not mexican mood music ;-). We would probably go back...for the food anyway.

Got a DoorDash order and we were severely disappointed. Food lacked flavor and portions were tiny. The quesa birria had zero flavor, and pretty sure they used hamburger meat in the choriqueso instead of chorizo. Quality of food has gone way down in the last few years.

I very much enjoyed this place! I had the Patrón burrito with chicken, rice and refried beans. The rice was a bit on the salty side for my taste but the burrito itself was awesome!

Been here a 100 times. First Time I've ever been given old food. They def gave me some Fajitas that's been sitting a while. I ordered at 5:22 opened the food around 5:50 ice cold guacample already turning on me. Just wow

But they are usually awesome.

They gave me the wrong food. The salsa was good, but a little too spicy for the whole family. I gave the tip for 2 checks, then they put a tip on the check I already tipped on

Went here for late lunch. We dined in and we were seated immediately. There weren't many people in the restaurant when we arrived. It was me, my boyfriend, and our daughter.

I'm not giving too many details because I am tired. Every other server we had except one woman was nice.

Our orders were taken, me and my boyfriend both got a built your own burrito and before we could order our daughter's food our menus were taken and the waitress walked off. It irked me the entire time we were there and by the time anyone else came by our table it was for our food. My boyfriend shared with our daughter.

It took more than 15 minutes for my boyfriend to get his WATER refilled, and he was checking his phone constantly to check our time stopped on our trip. When the water finally got refilled the same waitress took off before we could ask her for another refill of chips (our first refill) and we ended up having to ask one of the male waiters for chips.

Then, to top it all off, we tried asking the same waitress for a box after she refilled my boyfriend's water and took off again. She looked at my boyfriend when she walked off and saw him trying to ask for something but still continued on her way.

Also, RBF. I understand working in food service is hard on emotions and mental health. If you are unhappy with you job, look for another one or just quit. It's unfair to take your frustrations out on customers. Or gossip at one of the tables near the bathrooms in spanish.

Kid-friendliness: The male waiter that sat us was really sweet to us about our daughter.

My daughter and I decided to eat at the restaurant since we really enjoy Mexican food. We decided to eat at El Patron. We were given the chips and salsa and someone had taken our drinks right away which was great. The 1st waitress who was also serving at the bar came and asked if we were ready and I said just give me a little bit more time. It took her a long time to come back that I needed to get someone’s attention to get my order. The 2nd waitress was very kind and took our order. I ordered steak poblano with 2 sides. The food came out with poor presentation. The steak was tough, the fish was rubbery, and it didn’t have flavor at all. It wasn’t worth what I paid for my dish. The cheese bowl we ordered was runny. Later, when the second waitress gave me the receipt, I noticed that they had charged me for my two side when it was supposed to be included with the steak poblano. I brought it up to them and the second waitress had a nasty attitude and slap the receipt down and walked away. I just let it go because it just wasn’t worth it. Our family love Mexican food and we’ve gone to so many Mexican restaurants and the price was worth the pay. The customer service experience was worth coming back to. This location had 4.0 reviews so we tried it but I will say I will not be back again. The food and customer service was very poor.
